Went for a cheap reactor to get rid of co2 bubbles, im running a 2nd hand eheim professional tyoe 2224, but drop checker stays blue, it seems like the co2 stays trspped in reactor as by end of day ther is about 3 inches if air at top of reactor, it doesnt seem to work or is the co2 staying in reactor and pump not pushing it to the bottom of it and into tank, any idea ?

If you're continually injecting into the reactor and it is not completely displacing the water inside then it must be dissolving to a point?

The pump shouldn't be pushing the gas through the reactor to the tank, it should push CO2 enriched water (fully dissolved) through the system to the tank.

Definitely seems strange - can you confirm DC solution isn't contaminated or that your 4 dKH water isn't out of whack?
