Hi, please how do I set the output from two external filters to make the aquarium water flow optimal? I have two Eheim Classic 600 external filters for my 360 liter aquarium. I have a problem with green algae. I have lighting for Eheim PowerLed Daylight 3 x 34W - 4080lum. So far I have switched off one ramp, adding CO2 from the bottle. Thank you for your help.

Can be tricky to get the flow/output and tank turnover optimal.
Generally a filter output of x10 the tank size is advise for CO2 injected tanks so for your 360l tank an output of 3600LPH so you are a little short at about 2350lph, but it can be done with less OFC.

Hard to tell from you pics on how you have the outputs arranged but they should work together to get the best flow/turnover. twin spraybars along the back normally gives the best turnover with the ehiem skim pointing to the front also, Bubbles from the atomisers rising into the output of the skim can/does work well also.

What ferts are your adding/using?
whats your photo and CO2 periods ?
Also have you done a pH profile? Having a stable pH from lights on to CO2 off is a good indication of stable[CO2] which is the goal with CO2 injection, but gettting the flow optimal esp with your filter outputs is a good place to start

Thank you for the information. Fertilizer I use EASY-LIFE Fero. Do you think filtration is insufficient? I adjusted the filter outputs on the left side. I'll attach a picture tomorrow.

Do you think filtration is insufficient?

No , remember the biggest biological filter in a planted tank is the plant roots not the filter sponges. I bet you could run your tank with one of the filters having no filter media which would boost the filters output ;)

Tanks which are overstocked with livestock need lots of biological filtration, Planted tanks with low livestock dont need much and heavily planted tanks need even less.

we need good flow/tank turnover to help compensate for the slow diffusion of nutrients esp CO2 which travels 10,000 slower in water than air, takes about a second for CO2 to travel a meter in air in water it takes days hence we need good flow ;)

Hi
Sorry, this fertilizer is Easy-Life ProFito not Ferro. Ted I use PMDD - Latest Formula 20ml a day. I also modified the output from the left filter. My aquarium is 120 x 50 x 60 height. I add CO2 using the UP Aqua external atomizer.I was thinking about replacing Eheim Led and buy LED Chihiros A 120-140cm 65W A1201. What power LED lighting would be suitable for 60 cm high?
