Hi,
My betta has some white slime on his back and under mouth. I am not sure if it's slime coat damage or something else. Any thoughts? Tank is fully cycled.

Water parameters:
  • TDS 200 ppm
  • PH 7
  • GH 6 dGH
  • NO3 10ppm
  • NO2 0
  • 25 °C / 77 F
I am dosing liquid CO2 every day (can be an issue?).
Thanks

I cant really see anything white too but white makes me think of fungus. Is the area fuzzy?Did u recently buy yr betta?Lower pH might be nice.Use indian almond leaves if u got.

Watch in case it develops into bacterial infection (columnaris/flexibacter/araemonas). If it does you will see the blue shine starting to go, and may notice white parches around the lips and eyes. Get back to me if you see that. But often it is just grime.
