Scape suggestions

I have space for another cube in my lounge so I’m considering getting a Dennerle 60 litre. I’d like to keep half a dozen Corydoras in it but also want some plants. As cory’s love to root around in the substrate I’d like to give them plenty of “open” sand so need suggestions for planting if any of you have any ideas.

Bulb plants... Aponogetum, Crinum, and Nymphea spring to mind (they tend to be quite compact at the base and decent root structures to prevent dislodging), more traditional choices would be things that attach to decor - anubias, java fern, bolbitis, buces. Perhaps echinodorus too (and other rosette plants).

Hopefully something different to what others might suggest?

Not really. Aponogetons can need a fair bit of light dep3ndant upon the species. But other than that they will pretty much grow anywhere!
