Hi all, though I would start a journal, mostly just so I can keep track of the tank, but hopefully it will be of interest to others. I never took pics of the setup so will be started from the first planting.
As the title suggests, this tank (like most of mine) isn't really any style, and the planting is all over the place. I have some issues and it's an ongoing setup.
Anyway, some details
Setup date 20/02/2021
Tank - 35x28x30 cm Optiwhite
Lighting - 2x 14W all pond solutions LED's
Filtration - All ponds solution 500 LPH HOB-500 and Eden 521 800LPH external
Substrate - Tropica aquasoil
CO2 - Pressurised system, 3bps via twinstar diffuser into the intake of the external
Ferts - The aquascaper 4ml per day and seachem excel at 0.5ml per day
Livestock
Whitecloud mountain minnows (these are coming out to be replaced with cherry shrimp.)
5-6 Amanos
2 Ottos
Plants
Monte carlo
Dwarf hairgrass
Rotala H'ra
Rotala orange juice
Pogostemon erectus
Pogostemon deccanensis
Juncus repens
hydrocotyle tripartita
Alternanthera reineckii Mini
Anubias
Still very much in the early stages, and currently still doing twice weekly 50% waterchanges
I am running into the normal algae issues, and as you can see in some pictures, some plants/leaves are not looking great (black spots etc)
Pics below, excuse the poor quality and the rather ugly spraybar in the picture, that's the next thing on my list to fix
Any comments, good and bad welcome
