Hi there,

I wanted to know where some of you get the mesh used to make a moss wall or carpet from?

Im based in London so do I simply go to DIY store or is this specialist?

Hi i ordered a little kit from aquatic magic via ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Plastic-Mesh-...ZUKQ5fPetQ5fSuppliesQ5fFishQQsalenotsupported
Worked well, and came with suckers etc.

Its only 4.95 and no p&p

very easy to use, can be cut to make any size wall.

I have just created a small one for shrimp tank, about the size of a postcard.

see pic below, only a week old so moss still yet to grown fully (not a great pic as i just took quickly with my phone!):

Two things, use plenty of moss and make sure you zip tie together well to stop fish getting trapped.

Thanks for that.

I was hoping to pick something up locally rather than over ebay.

But thanks for that, will also consider for last resort.

The plastic net/matting looks like something you could source from a garden center or B&Q, good luck!

indeed - I get my mesh from the garden centre :)
I resorted to fleabay for the rubber suction cups to hold it on with - about £3 gets you 50.

£3 for 50 is plenty!

I was just going to use old ones from my broken filter packs :)

Will check it out. Ive gotten 3 bags of moss and need to get some wire packs tonight

Went to B&Q and they didnt have any mesh :(

Trying to find some plastic mesh from craft stores now.
