Plant for my Nano?

im thinking of strarting a nano up in my room. anyone suggest any plants i could use to create a good scape?
im also looking to buy some if someone could help me out?

to help people recommend the right plants can you give a little more background?

Tank size;
lights;
co2;

if you can tell us some of these things, we should be able to give plenty of advice.

the tank im thinkin of using is about 35cm x 35cm and a height of 40cm
iv found a 18w light unit and a cheap easygro (i think) co2 dispenser as money is tight!
i was going to use pond soil to build some shape and then cover it with a small tub of aquasoil.
like i said money is quite tight so im trying to keep cost low as possible.
i quite new, ive done a very low tech 60l just using the same co2 system and ferts with just fine gravel thats turned out ok (i shall post pics at some point!).
any advice and help is appreciated.
