'scaping a slim tank - path?

hi all

i have a 36" x 12" x 15" tank
(thats 12" front to back)

as you all know this is a bad size for a scape
as its so slim from front to back

i have done lots of reading and playing about
and have a basic grasp of what creates depth

i am re-scaping at the moment and fancy a change
(i had a cuba and seriya stone iwagumi of sorts)

would a path be the way to go in a tank this slim?

What hardscape are you planning on using?
When planting (or positioning hardscape) dont plant in lines, make sure you have some overlap between the different "grounds"

im using redmoor and seriya stones, cuba, moss, riccia

i really like this one and may attempt the tree root look in the corners
perhaps a path may be OTT?

another question while im on the subject,
i also like the tanks with the sandy foreground
is this likey to look silly in a tank as silm as mine?

if you have a sand foreground, dont run it the full length of the tank as this will make it look wider rateer than creating depth, so have a foreground plant taking up about 2/3rds of the distance.
