Got her planted up the other day! got some more in depth pics of the planting which i will upload soon. still got plenty of moss to go in too, most of the plants are 1-2-grow so will take a couple of weeks to show :)
Hi again, just thought i would share another of my little projects
The tank is a Dennerle Scapers tank, not actaully seen one of these set up yet... comes with a little hang-on external which are nice, they have acrylic lily pipes as standard.
Just added a hydor external heater today and...
Thanks guys! Been a while since doing something with some thought behind it
I have an aquatics shop in Skegness, it's a general aquatics shop, nothing specialised but I like to get people into the planted tanks
Not been on here for a while, i have recently stripped the 5ft display tank in the shop, i am about to have a rescape, so thought it share this time.
Tank: Eheim Vivaline 330

Surprised you remember me haha. I have been away from aquascaping for a while now so missed these new plants. I have my own shop now so ill be posting a few journals of the tanks. Just rescaped my 5 footer actually.. inspired by your tank you did a while back with the driftwood that was almost...
Been a few years since I have been on here now! thought I would post up one of my latest tanks.
This has been running just over a week now so very new setup. I have set this up as something a little different for my shop. Just a low tech easy to look after tank is all I want. I just...
cheers guys

There is hydrocotyle sibthorpiods in the mid-ground. Its hardly visible though. I need moss too :D

thanks bazz. glad you came in. its rare we get many plant guys in there :D it could well have been me. i am the youngest.

some of you may know i have worked in my LFS for a few months now. i have scaped this tank to try and get the public into aquascaping, and it seems to have got a good reception so far. i will be doing more tanks so hopefully more people will get into this hobby. this tank has been a challenge as...
Re: English woodland FISH IDEA,S NEEDED PLSE
looking good john  nice to see you back into scaping again.
i would never buy from ste1200 on ebay again!
i bought some killifish eggs and brineshrimp. never recieved a thing! and egnored all emails.
i believe that TMC have used better light diffusers now so the light looks nice and even spread. we have the arcadia where i work as we are having as whole new system set up with about 80 3ft tanks in. the arcadia rep sent us one and it doesnt touch a T5 or T8. i can get you guys some pictures...
i have also seen these in person. i am not impressed ether. know where near as good as the TMC ones. the ripple effect you get from the TMC ones is as good as a MH. i have seen the tube ones and the tile, i prefer the tube one :D
for some reason arcadia used the same amount of white red and...
having koi shoulnt be a problem. id only stick a few in though. they have no trouble at higher temps as long as theres plenty of airation. i believe they grow quicker in higher temps too. well.... goldfish do i suppose they are all carp at the end of the day.
Re: Saintly's 120cm' Fraggle rock' Time to move on.
look foward to the new setup mark
i can imagine it will be a more complex layout than the previous one. maybe nicer transition too. i imagine lots of acicularis.
they wont send to this country because of the reason pointed out above. we have a supplier, so they cant take our suppliers buisness.
to be honest its not any more cost to get the stuff from TGM. they are more expensive because of the shipping tax ect that they have to add to the price.
looking through these again, it gives me lots of ideas of how to make things look more natural. the second picture is great. i like how the wood shows its been there for years. the way it smooths into the forest floor. something to think about.
thanks mark, got me thinking on another level...
i think my ranking was a little lower than i expected, but this has made me want to do better.
i am thinking of new ideas that i never used too. maybe something a little different in the next few tanks
excellent photos as allways mate.
i love your forest shots. i remember when i went to the lakes early this year. i came back full of ideas, but never carried them into a scape. theres just too many ideas in my head and i find myself going for the easier options.
Re: Saintly's 120cm' Fraggle rock' let battle commence
nice vid mark.
maybe thats why we love the hobby so much. i will have 5 tanks running soon :P i think this will help me no end. i have to catch up with you some how.
i would love the depth that tank has. maybe a bit some height though. also fitting it in a room might be tricky. i can see these becoming more popular in the future
oh and whos this mark evans guy
Re: Saintly's 120cm' Fraggle rock'
looks great. nice clean and simple
i would like to see a group of penguin tetras myself. i am loving these at the moment. i might be getting some of my 60cm. they shoal very well and look great when they all point the same way.
this aquascape has been set up a few weeks now. i have filled it with just the hardscape as its needed for my fish :D
the tank has LOADS of BGA in at the moment so ill start doing regular WCs and EI dosing asap.
the planting will be simple moss between the rocks, crypts both sides behind the...
Re: Saintly's 120cm' Fraggle rock'
looks cool mark. i casn see where you going. i think
i set up a 80cm the other day using them big stones in a similar way. a little moss around the stones cyprus and crypts are my plan

Re: Saintly's 240L 'savannah dreaming' @ 10 weeks
looking nice and mature now :)
have you tried a white background? just the wall? i like white backgrounds
should make the wood stand out more too.
Re: sams 60cm (planted)
ahh yes. i am a little worried about that actually. i think i will leave if for a while then hack it right back and hope it doesnt kill it. i might keep the cutting for a bit first lol.
Re: sams 60cm ?????
so guys heres how it went:
next i added the moss to the wood which is taiwan moss.
heres the tastey looking HC from plantedbox :D
i then split and planted the HC. i had plently, a little too much. i also added some bolbitus on the wood
next i added the e...
