In my opinion packing in the plants is one of the secrets to no algae issues,
HI ad,i really like the rock layout,but i would try it in the tank if i were you,that way you will get a better sense of scale,

4 for me,if the scape was planted correctly your eye would be draw through the middle giving a lovely sense of depth,
