Nice april fools :D
Glad you like it guys, thanks. :)
Lovestock seems to like it more too; more swimming space for the fishes, lot of biofilm to graze on for ottos...
ottos and Japonica shrimps loves them. Otherwise check your filter for accumulation of dirt
Of course, I wanted to say too much phosphates and not enough nitrates , not good balance. (Sorry for my English)
Might be worth checking and...
Very cool! Reminds me my old cunzo, is that hydrocotyle tripartita mini ?
great idea, thanks Mark ;-)
wasn’t expecting much from those old Chinese seeds (hygrophila sp) but hey...life!
Agreed, it has to be co2 in your case. :-)
spot dosing bba with liquid carbon helps, diatoms are easily cleaned by shrimps and snails, good luck ;-)
Here it is, after 2 hours of work, glad I rescaped my tank instead of restarting it, the result is instantly pleasing my eyes. :-)
Covid 19 got me crazy and I rescaped this in 2 hours this afternoon :D
Hope you like it, you can follow it under my new journal called...
Already? The stems aren’t even full yet :-)
finally...the wood sink! Time to work now
:thumbup:Very nice cliff
I’ll definitively try s.repens on my next scape, never had success with it in the past but I was an beginner then :D
It’s all a matter of balance. If you overdose one element, you can block another.
Thanks Ady ;-)
here’s a crappy vid I’ve taken with my iPhone 7
Really liking the aquascape, nice flow of the wood and that left rock placement create nice tension, would love to see an frontal pic?
as for the...
Why so many water change?
BBA don’t like high co2, if Cuba is melting that is probably due to lack of co2 where the Cuba grows, so yeah, check...
Thanks for your explanation. :-)
I use eheim and jbl filters since decades, it has never let me down. ;-)
nice guess, I heard the iwaki pump was noisy on some models too...
When seeing your pics I wonder why Ada filters are so pricey?
Looks perfect on your 60p!
I like the plantation and the lower part of the scape.
The tree might be tweaked to look more like an real one by adding branches like that (if...
Don’t get me wrong the twinstar S serie is an good light too, but as you already own the E, the difference won’t be extraordinary ;-)
Had to rescape the right part of the tank last Sunday because the whole plant mass on the roots was blocking the flow.
I’ll post an pic...
You’ll definitively need an chihiros vivid 2 or the new wrgb2 to get good reds and greens :-)
for the filter, jbl or eheim are classic choices.
that’s how it works :-)
yeah! Feel free to post the result here :-)
Very cool idea mate!
Double post sorry
Contemplating an mountain landscape while sitting at home is something you are able to do with aquascaping :-)
It’s one of the best soil available and easy at the beginning, I usually kept mine for one year but it’s still looking as new.
I usually trim, then replant tops...after one week to 2 weeks (depends of your setup) you’ll see that the replanted tops grows faster than the...
Cheers Ady, still thinking of buying an Ada 30C? :-)
This may become flooded later...we will see. ;-)
Thanks! Now it’s time to clean the house too...but that’s not as exciting :-)
Thanks! This scape would need co2 to look great because of the use...
Do yourself an favour and buy one stainless steel inlet, while keeping the glass outlet which can be cleaned without dismantling :-)
Got bored from staying home because of the Covid-19...
So here is a little mountain scape I made today (31x21x26cm), it’s going to be...
that’s how the old leaves often looks after an big trim, because they haven’t’ had much light.
just wait for the new growth and it will look nice...
As Alto said, P.simulans can be very shy until there is some bolder fishes with them. ;)
but they’re beautiful !
20 would be ok for an 60p, they...
But because this tank is starting to get really overgrown, I’m getting some green...
I’m sure the rgb will grow plants too, just slower than your aquasky moon. I think Ada is trying to make aquascaping easier for beginner with this...
I’ve had tried to dim my vivid 2 at 40W and I’ve to say I feel your pain, over my 60p it looks very weak too.o_O
I’m actually running it at 70W,...
Deluxe farm!
In your video, the aquasky rgb looks just great to me. But the difference with the moon is very obvious, seems an very high power light.
just go for the Wrgb 2 then :-)
double the power of that Ada and about half the price ;-)
just go for the chihiros vivid 2, you won’t be disappointed :-)
Looking much better with soil :-) nice job
This king of scape with low plant mass and big pieces of wood are always very difficult at start...don’t give up Tim, add some floaters and fast...
Curious to see the result too :-)
Your tank is looking better and better after each trimming, love all the different textures, shape and colors! :-)
I’ll need those pinsettes...
wow, very sad to hear that...will see if I can cancel and get refund ASAP. :-(
thanks mate, no info on the ban yet, but I’ve to pay a Visa even if my trip is under 15days now
Nice shots :-)
Can I ask in which region of VN are you living?
I plan to go in VN at the end of April, I’m French , should I be worried mate?
it seems there is...
Couldn’t get anything but algae with those ferts...plus you’ll need to put the twinstar at 100% to get the plants to eat all that liquid food.
Sure , and can’t beat the style of this frosted stand on that light IMO,not an huge fan of the bulky style of the new rgb but the black color will...
Waiting for the review of the rgb :-)
colour rendition of the aquasky moon isn’t the best but with it’s high power, your plants are red! Too bad...
I bought an second hand 60x40cm stand so it seems this scape will get bigger soon :-)
I have to say that before having this result, I always thought than this kind of reds was only possible with instagram filters and so on, but now...
‘very nice tank! :-)
Tank is overgrown again, I’ll do the final shot this week, have a nice Sunday evening everybody ;-)
Crazy...in 2020, Ada still can’t make some decent co2 diffuser...
bought one 4 years ago, it was like yours, big bubbles and made some annoying...
some help for the shrimps types ;-)
Snails are very effective fungus eaters and aren’t sensitive to nitrites so can be added at day 1 but I know @Tim Harrison hate them.
high light helps too
Discovered that M.guyana is very sensitive to fungus , better wait for the tank to mature and then plant it again. ;-)
How is the flow in your tank?
Yeah soaking needs you to be patient but that helps to avoid lots of problems (tannins, slime, floating wood, détritus coming from the wood...)....
Don’t worry bettas like to do that kind of things...:D
I bet he love his jungly tank ;-)
mine spent his time hunting snails and baby blue velvet shrimps
Thanks for the kind words Ryan, don’t worry about details, it’s very early days and the scape is far from what I have in mind at the moment. ;-)...
Very Nice selection of healthy rare plants in there!
love the potamogeton and the rotala Florida !
my water isn’t very soft but I never had to clean it, it is perfectly silent. But a friend of mine had hissing noise coming from his co2 art...
Cold and rainy day here in France, the kind of day I like to sit and relax watching my tank...here’s some shots of today;
Nice start Tim but That’s very low plant mass, how do you manage algae? Low intensity on the twinstar?
all this mess with cig filters and silicon...
Very funny and healthy, awesome betta and pics too, congrats
Here’s the v2.1
Thanks Paul, first version wasn’t even scaped, just put the wood in my sandbox and realized that it was too big for my tank, but that would look...
30minutes later...realised that it would be nice to upgrade my 60p for something deeper, but no money for that yet so...trunk v2.0...
Let’s play :-)
rotala rotundifolia vs rotala colorata under vivid 2...
Nice to see that even in Japan, Ada stuff is way to pricey. o_O
Thanks for the pics, very interesting !
Too much co2 isn’t good for bacteria, bacteria keeps algae at bay...
looks like Rotala Rotundifolia to me
399€ on aquasabi (:))
495€ on Greenaqua (:D...)
who’s gonna buy?
I’ve spent a lot of money in diffusers, including do!aqua, jbl, ada, neo co2, co2 art, in-line...and yes they all make some noise except for the...
so, I’ve to say that the bubbles are finer today, that’s an good thing, my mistake for not soaking it.
it’s still make hissing noise though.
Unfortunately my actual hardscape is blocking a lot of the flow, can’t do anything.
Filter is cleaned every 3 weeks.
I’m just trimming the...
Actually no, as they weren’t any instructions about that in the box?
I’ve decided to let it run for 24hours and see if it gets better tomorrow...
just try the co2 art bazooka, it may be bulky but never had an more efficiency and more silent one that this...
Will the neo co2 art need some...
Just got mine from Aquasabi and I very disappointed, shouldn’t have listen to those insta/YouTube self claimed ’pro aquascaper’;
Do you thing staghorn is related to high power lighting?
How much h2o2 do you dose generally?
Got some staghorn on my 60p too, only on the...
Livestock looks happy;
Why did you use it? Burning some algae? Better use seachem;
h2o2 is very dangerous, I’ve killed some borara with it once and it burned some...
:pompus:The roots of H.Pinnatifida are getting crazy
Glad you went with the vivid, it really is an awesome light.
I’m running it for 8h including auto Sunset / Sunrise for 1h.
50% power for the...
Seachem purigen Is your friend :-)
I really like it,very natural looking.
Myriophillum sp Guyana
Very Nice start, always an good idea to use lots of plants at the beginning!
How many lumens Is that twinstar light? Seems a bit weak for the...
yep, in my last scape the Wood started to float after finished planting and filling...that moment I were thinking why I’m still in this hobby. :D...
