My two dennerle 10l's, these tanks are great for a variety of uses! Tempted to get a third and do a wabi kusa, or move my nepenthes into...
Thanks, this was an old tank long since emptied, but I miss it sometimes. It was a converted Betta trio with dividers removed, the glass lid was...
Microsorum Trident, grown devoid of co2...
Thanks Siege, may need to source an adapter!
A good friend gave me the solenoid valve, adapter and tubing with bubble counter, shown in the pic below.
Can I please ask, re the...
RO water, a windowsill and bloodworms are your friends.
I've got a few carnivores currently dormant, but doing well with just those elements...
Thanks guys, can't be bothered flooding so I guess it's cling film until that time!
I've had this dennerle 10l cube growing emersed for a good while now, at least 6 months; but it's always had cling film over it.
I like the content of "SerpaDesign", but at the risk of being rude; I can't stand the guy in the videos voice!
Pics of tank? :)
Looks great, if you don't mind feedback, the wood on the left detracts from the statues presence; interferes with the focus point/head of the...
On a side note, I once had to treat anchor worm from rescuing a fish; and it is horrible. The only effective treatment chlorite or chloride, can't...
How do you keep the humidity up for the fittonia? Covering?
Looking for some input on a nice bushy plant or two for the left hand corner of this mini set-up, been going well fluctuating between...
This is a brilliant dynamic scape, flexi mini?
That looks really good Matt
I know, I'd just like to see it in person
I thought it was sandersonii, but I don't know enough to identify confidently
This is superb, I'd like to try something similar; I see you're using the IKEA led, is this to supplement window light?
Also this one, growing with my utricularia, could it be graminnofilia? (Wrong spelling I know)
Very good points raised, a little really goes a long way in a tank this small!
Thanks guys, it's a superb moss; I see terrariums in my future lol
Not aquatic, but can anyone please help me identify the terrestrial moss alongside my Pinguicula cyclosecta?
I'd assumed it's spaghnum,...
Thanks Rebel, using the Dennerle bio co2!
Love it's simplicity, can't be bothered with pressurised again.
Plants are coming on well :)
Welcome to the forum! What colour of neo's do you keep? :)
Thanks for that link! Wish I wasn't so far away
Looks great! Good growth in there, I'd be looking to replicate on a much smaller scale, how are your humidity levels?
Thanks! I think that's a good idea, I'll need to see if I can find some duckweed; always enjoy a surface "carpet" of it at the top!
Having withdrawn a bit from tanks and aquascaping in my hobbies (preferring to instead try emersed scapes and carnivorous plants), I've cut back...
On Instagram I follow some aquascaping people/companies, two of which are baiosphere and terraliving, has anyone else seen them? (Pics below)
The pat mini is a superb shrimp filter, and you should be safe using the standard sponge. There is also an even finer sponge available; if you...
Think I'll struggle, keen on the moss though and appreciate you mentioning it.
What I'll likely do is get some gel glue as the guys suggested...
I really just want it to be a lush box of greenery, ill let the staurogyne get a bit taller then cut back; these days I enjoy emersed...
That's a really good shout, whereabouts are you Kallum?
Good shout on the moss, think I'll do it tonight.
Yeah agreed on the water level, oddly the plants have been growing well in it, I've been lazy...
Currently working on a 10l Dennerle cube, hoping to turn it into a box of green healthy plants!
The staurogyne, Monte Carlo etc are...
Do the organisms it feeds on develop in the pot under it, or do they need manual feeding aid? I've got bloodworm for the rest in case they don't...
Some more close-ups, the utricularia I think looks a bit unhealthy, hoping it perks up[ATTACH]
Hi all, using a flexi mini to house a small selection of carnivorous plants, including species of drosera (sundew), bladderwort and butterworts....
Btw what are the plants in the Flexi, the ones to the left? Thanks
Watching this thread!
Very impressed with the filterless flexi mini, the more I get into aquatics etc, the more I prefer au naturale approaches...
Intriguing! I also invested in carnivorous plants ;)
This is where it got to, before I had to move the tank and break it down; subsequently it's empty just now and needs some serious attention!...
I didn't know Roy, but from my time in the forum he was always a friendly poster, happy to help and not once imposing any sort of judgement on me...
They are superb
Betta 100%, especially in Thailand!
Plant only filtration will be fine, especially if you incorporate plants that root into water, some sort of...
I've heard these can be a fire risk, not sure how factual that is or the chances of accident; but maybe that has something to do with it.
Hi Sarah, to avoid using a bath for water changes etc, Google "python water changer"; you won't regret it
Thanks for sharing, superb post :)
That is absolutely stunning, well done maintaining the planted tank alongside the needs of the bee's!
Thanks guys, this has reassured me
Quick question on acclimating shrimp to new conditions, in a nutshell I have some Caridina types, including pinto, fishbone, etc, in my...
Are you able to get pics next time you're in? I'm in the midst of also setting up my spec v again, looking for inspiration!
I'm thinking a big colony of crystal black :)
Bit different from the usual crystal reds
Some developments, planted and re-scaped, as I moved this near a corner as the existing set-up didn't sit well with me aesthetically.
That's a really lush, gorgeous scape, looks great!
The aquael pat mini filter is exactly this design, just slightly smaller; think that's the best route!
Might go down the aquael mini pat internal filter route, simple powerhead attached to a shrimp safe sponge. Only wish it was...
Is it possible to filter a tank via sponge filter, and still grow plants that don't require injected co2?
I'm thinking plants i've used...
White clouds are awesome, so underrated
New Dennerle 60l nanocube, excited for this as it's my first "large" dedicated shrimp tank!
I'd quite like to carpet this with Monte Carlo, which...
As posted above, Dennerle nano corner filter is great for 10l tanks, it's what I use on my 10l planted, silent and unobtrusive
I can confirm this worked for me, using fluke solve :)
I quite like using them, but I wouldn't say they make that much difference, if any
As mentioned above, don't overfeed and you'll be able to control the population nicely, I personally am very fond of ramshorns; and hope that...
Inspirational for the Flexi :)
Got another one in the works! With a red crowntail that would go nicely!
My Dennerle 10l, with a mix of shrimp from low grade red cherries, to medium crystal reds up to red pinto :)
Dragonstone, fingerwood, stargrass...
Stunning, I've also been looking at the scapers 35...these images are a bad influence
If he's a long fin Betta, I'd be careful with sharp branches
Some new ones :) broke down the far left tank and replaced with my spec V.
Would like to see pics/video of this tank in action!
Not sure, I went for the white, and am happy with the results, small pic below of a tank ive just started for reference using the light.
V2 is good, I also recently purchased a 20cm chihiros A series on eBay for £15, dimmable, and its really good
Super tank, following you on YouTube
Thanks! It's the Flexi Mini Scape set, originally considered a traditional aquascape, but it's very well suited for emersed given the high...
A few tanks I'm working on, and one of my berried galaxy fishbone shrimp :) A nice part of the house to relax in.

Here are some examples, please excuse the poor quality of the "scapes" if they can even be called that lol. All are DC aquariums in opti
Will try for pics when I'm home :)
I would recommend them to anyone looking for well built tanks, but if you're looking for really high quality...
Silicone work won't be as clean as known opti-white manufacturers, also the glass isn't just as clear.
Good prices though, and approachable for...
I have those drawers, and I would 100% not even trust a tank of 40 litres on it lol.
I used to have a 20l on it, until I spilled some water and...
This is looking great, well done!
Aside from the moral/ethical implications of these being the wrong seeds, those ones you show actually look really promising for emersed scapes...

I'm here in Brussels just now, and had the chance to visit the NADA store in Antwerp, which I became aware of through one of @George...
Any pics of your set up?
I'm getting more into the emerged scapes, much easier without water lol. Can sundews take the humidity? I'm learning...
Beautiful tank, well done!
Do you have further info for us such as tank size, brand, filtration, substrate type, co2 injection and whatnot?...
Update below on the emersed growth, a big thanks to Darrell for kindly sending me some fly eating Pinguicula!
Noticed a considerable...
Yep, I used shrimp king mineral by Dennerle/Shrimp King.
There's also a snail specific pellet which i'd hazard will also have high calcium
