Thats a good help thanks, I'm pretty new to this and i dont have an artistic bone in my body, i have been playing with some more ideas, and maybe deviating away from the original idea
I'll try and get some more pictures soon :D
I like the look of this
So i have tried to create it in a 7l nano/pico, I am planning to have lots of flow to simulate a stream, with some shrimp only probably.
How does that look, could you help me make it more pleasing on the eye?
And what kind of plants would go in there?
Would that be the one in Pontardullais?
Or in Wyvale in Llansamlet.
If you want to have the best range of fish to choose from in wales i would highly recommend MH in Cardiff if you would like we could arrange some kind of meet up as i travel up every now and then from Neath so if you like you...
By dead space i meant that the space behind is a little useless, personally i would prefer the hard scape further back with some room for some plants behind and then a nice carpet in the fore ground, using all the space behind for planting taler plants would dominate the scape.
Re: My venture into my new 760 ltr aquariam.
Would he not be better off dosing into the sump? as it would get mixed better running into the tank?
Or doesn't it really matter if you have good water flow in the main tank?
Re: My venture into my new 760 ltr aquariam.
Bloody impressive setup there!
I cant realy help much with plants/ferts but i wish you the best of luck getting this planted up and il be following keenly :)
I would really recommend the smallest ehiem classic filter, cant remember the name, they can be had cheap second hand, will run forever and do a healthy 400lph :)
You could get lucky and find one of the old thermofilters aswell :)
Got a slight wait on my CO2 parts and plants due to the bank holoday weekend! typical eh?
So i have tried to crack on and keep busy, need to tidy them up abit more but im getting there :)
need some cable tie bases to tie them down :)
First bit of mains wiring ive ever done, was...
Loving this tank James, Im from neath so the chances are we are fed from the same reservoir, Crai probably, and my water is very soft, never had a lime-scale problem, would be interested to test it though :)
Haha, il look into it Garuf.
This is part of my inspiration :)
I have orderd 3 lots of Riccia Fluitans and Some Taxiphyllum barbieri, need to grab some slate pieces to ancor the Riccia too :)
And fish ideas very welcome :)
Heres my little journal for my simple biotope.
Need some help with my wood positioning
Or any other arrangements of those pieces :)
Aslo the substrate is going to be sand, riccia around the bottom of the roots and some mosses on the roots.
Obviously more updates to come :)
Thanks,il look into the mosses, i have grown riccia before (long time) with no ferts and medium light.
But it was realy slow :(
Yeah was horrific to wake up to a lifeless tank, sword tails would be a nice option to have in there :D
After a horrible episode yesterday night with my heater sticking on and killing all my fish i was ready to pack up fish keeping all together and sell the lot :(
But about an hour ago i picked up Aprils PFK mag and turned to George's aqua skaping section and felt truly inspirred :)
Soo it looks...
Well, im having some bad algae problems on my gravel, i clean it off every week and it just comes back, im using the AE 3 Step thingy for ferts, im thinking about upping the dosage of co2, adding some more plants and adding some more circulation.
Would these help?
So a lower lighted tank with good ferts and Co2 will grow just as well as a high lighter but slower?
Could i grow demanding plants with around 1.5wpg and good ferts and liquid co2?
Sorry to threadjack, Sam.
Thats a Pioneer sub had 3000 in the name, wasnt expensive, baught it off a member of TA for 10er ;)
Its in a 3.5cuft ported box tuned to 30hz and is powerd off an orion d5000 at 1ohm so around 2500wrms
the front components are star sound digital comps off around 300wrms a side
Your front speakers will be 5.25's then, i had a mk4 and i made some 6.5's fit but it was alot of cutting and chopping :)
you will want componant speakers and mount the mid in the door, the tweeter on the doorcard, hot glue will do :) and the crossover in the door aswell
Well here we have it, my new tank :)
Its a Fluval Roma 125 with
Standard lighting (2x20w tubes)

Right lads (and lasses) im planning a co2 fire extinguiser co2 system but im abit skint and some regulators are damn pricey, is there a cheaper alternative to the dual guage ones?
ebay has some with no guages and just an adjustable needle valve, are these ok to use?
Thats great, i allready have a diffuser, tubing and a drop checkerso that should be a bit less, im guessing all i would need it a bottle reg and bubble counter?
If you could pm the article when your done that would be amazing, as im not a regular browser realy

The tank will be a 12x8x8 jobbie whitch comes to 13l by my calculations.

Well today i bought a dual 30w starter unit, and a tube, i will be buying another plant growth tube tomorow :)
so i should be close to 60w for my 24g aquarium, it looks like il have to get my co2 up to scratch:)
Its rather large, they have a 15x15x5 marine tank with a shark in there! and a rather nice range of cichlids, selection of plants (very limited) but i did manage to rumage through a load of stuff to find a old bottle of tpn+ :)
On that note, how much tpn+ should i dose? the tank is 24g and the...

And also it did live in my room, but i had a leak from my external and siphoned 20l of water out of my tank onto my floor and down the walls/ceiling downstairs.
Well heres my new old tank.

Hi, i have a 40cm cube which is 13im gallons and im currently running a 11w light, i feel this isnt enough and i am looking to upgrade, i have been browsing and i have found http://www.aquatics-online.co.uk/addtobasket.asp?skid=7357&retp=794&rets=188 i know its abit more power which is good, but...
I just broke my glass co2 diffuser  and i cant afford another for a while. is it ok to repair it with epoxy glue? will the chemicals effect the fish? i wont place it in the tank until its completely cured of course.
