Ok this is strange.. so i decided to try the other ac adapter the original one, if i twist the output slightly in a specific way the light comes on and works as required. It has to be manipulated a certain way for it to get any power. this does not explain why my new one off amazon does not work...

Thanks for this, i've just tried it and unfortuently it does not work. It works with the controller, but the light does not come on. My guess is the light has broken, this is now my 3rd Chihiros 901.... anyone else having similar problems?

hi, Has anyone encountered any issues with these lights? I've had two now which have both failed after a couple of months. Last one was replaced but now this new ones gone.. Looking at the led glass casing it almost looks as tho it's cracked near the screws that hold the led glass casing in...

I have the 4 tube version and works and looks great.

I have the 90cm and I have an 80cm tank, the over hang isn't that bad to be honest.

Will these bulbs fit in any light unit?

All pond solutions do the hanging light kit and that fits it, you would need a light that would be able to be hung from the wires though.

This will not fit your tank mate, it doesn't go over the rim.

You can buy the units where the bulbs fit onto the underside of the 2 plastic lids. My mate is selling his shortly if your after one and he has a jewel rio 125. thanks

Hi, Does anyone have this tank that has successfully fitted a Luminaire to it? Cant seem to find anyone that has on google or here as the brace around the rim seems to hinder peoples efforts. If you know of a Luminaire that would work for this tank can you let me know please. Cheers

I have the exact tank and i did the mod, i have an arcadita twin t5 unit which sites on the floor in the cabinet and the two bulbs are attached to reflecters on each of the lid flaps. Works ok but is a pain come water changes. Ill defo be getting a luminaire next time round.

Hi, Google "James planted tank" for info on cheap t5 bulbs. Or is it the unit your after?

This is the site i was on mate, didint have the tubes James has in a smaller size though. So i am just wondering if the wattage or anything changes with the size of the tube.

Hi, Quick question, i am looking to get the Philips de Luxe Pro T5 965 Fluorescent Tube 54W & Sylvania Grolux T5 54W from James Website. However when i look on the website that provides the bulbs i cannot find the size i need. Is there a reason why they only have them in the 1149mm size? Cheers
