    Confusing ammonia readings🤔

So I wanted to get an idea of what ammonia is in my aquarium. 20 litre nano cube. I took a reading before a water change that I did today. It was 0.1 mg/l which I expected since I added some fish this week. Top end of the scale according to the JBL test kit. Then I took a reading after a 50% or...

    Sucker cups frustrating me😠

After doing my weekly water change this week the sucker cups on the filter won’t stick to the glass (20 litre nano cube with dennerle eckfilter) the filter is only 3 months old. I’ve cleaned the glass, cleaned the suckers, tried to attach when dry, when wet, when under water, I think I’ve tried...

    Fish suggestion

Ok so maybe a few tetra of some kind? I know one other comment was to not have any fish at all which I kind of agree with. I’m scared of keeping up with keeping the water clean from poop, pee and uneaten fish food. Kids and wife desperate for some kind of fish though. Might try 3 or 5 cardinals...

    Fish suggestion

Hi there I have a 20 litre planted dennerle nano cube home to about 20 shrimp. I’m looking for a fish that can be kept solitary. I considered beta Splenda but they can even go after shrimp. Any ideas? I’m looking for something that stands out.

    Anubias gracilis problem??

What am I trying to achieve with the roots? Even if I can get the plant attached to a rock do the roots need to end up going into the substrate? Or are they happy to just be exposed in the water?

    20l nano cube

I set up mine up 2 weeks ago. I went for low tech. No co2. Tropica easy care plants in a simple planted theme which are growing well already. I’ve just ordered an Anubias Gracilis to go in there. We’ll get shrimp in about 2 weeks.

    RO water in planted aquariums

Sorry guys I’m no scientist🤨🤨 all the k g h c a m g etc etc mean nothing to me😂, with the jbl product are you able to give a doasge per litre to RO water with a TDS of zero to achieve parameters that are middle of the lane for plants and shrimp. There may be no sensible answer to my question but...

Hi all I‘ll be setting up a 20 litre nano cube in the next week or so. Will be planting 4 types of easy 1-2Grow plants from tropica. Goldfish at top of pond

Can anyone help please. I have a small pond in my garden with goldfish, shubunkins and comets. They have been at the top recently sometimes under the lily leaves. They are not mouthing or gasping for air but just hanging around near the surface. I recently treated the pond with viresco to get...

    Stem plants reaching the surface

Hi, can anyone suggest the best thing to do when stem pants (rotala rotundifolia) reach the surface and start growing along the top of the water. Should I leave them or cut them? As they are laying across the surface roots have developed and at each leaf there are new shoots. Thanks. Matt
