    A Yorkshire Beck - 120l....

Still no photos I'm afraid, sorry. The Celebes have begun breeding properly so the tank is geared up to that at the moment which means a 14 hour photoperiod and a slight algal outbreak but only on the Bolbitis so far. I am now the proud mum of 4x1month old Celebes fry plus 10 or so eggs close...

    LunaPet Solenoid

I didn't cut it off but it is a 2 pin plug though it ws sold as suitable for GB. If I send it back will they get what I'm saying, basically, do they speak English? It also says on the item listing that it comes with instructions etc to download and I can't find any link anywhere for that.

    LunaPet Solenoid

Hiya, I finally got the money together to buy a new solenoid from LunaPet. After 2 weeks it arrived today so I set it up and plugged it into the same adaptor that I used with the previous one. A large bang and a pretty blue flash from the solenoid later and I'm not sure what I did wrong :( ...

Quick non-photographic update! The Hydrocotyle is looking somewhat sad as all the original leaves have died off but there is plenty of new growth. The E tennellus has gone mad and the cryps are all looking great! The only problem is a bit of BBA caused by having to turn the CO2 on/off manually...

    Unable to turn CO2 off

I'd be surprised if they'd take it back after I've removed the horn etc. Admittedly my solenoid is also broken and I have been waiting until payday to buy a replacement. Would a new solenoid shut the gas off if the valve on the fe is dodgy? OFSTED are leaving today!!!! YAY

    Unable to turn CO2 off

Hi, I recently bought a replacement FE from screwfix (rip off and long story) and set it up tonight but unlike the other ones I have had before it doesn't seem to turn off the flow when the handles are released. Call me blonde but am I missing something really obvious? Bearing in mind that I'm...

grees spot algae on anubias only ? what to do

Time for a new scape (The End)

Hi, I have 15dkh water out of the tap (yuk) and my crypts are fine; in fact the only plants I seem to struggle with are some of the finer leaved ones (Cabomba etc) and mosses which take about 6 months to attach! I have pH 7.5ish though.

Yes, I was aware of the chances of the young shrimp being eaten by the Amanos (and the ADF!) but at least I'll never be overrun with them. Now the shrimplets are a bit bigger I had a quick count of the ones I could easily see and had 14 young ones at least.
