30 seconds to dusk - new scape

First - Thank you guys..!! @pmgsr - The tree is supposed to have weeping moss on it which I did not get my hands on yet, and that's also the supposed focal point - I know it won't look that good at the moment as it's kind-of a minimalistic bonsai inspired scape, there is quite a bit of stems...

30 seconds to dusk - new scape

Hi All, Been a while I did a new tank at home, work life has got me traveling a lot across the country. But with pressure from my fiance to make a new tank for next year's contest..I had to make one :p Any way it's a random idea that came to my mind and this is what I scaped, there will be few...

    Amano's use of diffusers

I used the same Up aqua inline for my last 2ft'r tank and honestly ADA diffusers are kinda out of my reach (with so many tanks at home - would be wife will kill me if I spend anymore after I broke a lily pipe) I find it to be the best and completely agree with George.

    Few of my works

it's been quite long that I had done a tank..office life has been too hectic with my last promotion that I got. I had dismantled most of my tanks due to this..one fine evening I realized man the house looks empty...:P so scaped my 1ft'r (or 30cm) cube tank. Added is a pic of the outcome. Hoping...

Fluval Studio 900. Sticks and Stones.

I absolutely love this tank! guess I too will have to move from my rock based scapes to something like this for a change..:) plus I was looking out for a tank to see how lobelia might look in the next scape that I have in mind..so thank you for that..now I know it will be a good addition after...

    Favourite carpet?

no one mentioned about M. hirsuta and lileopesis brasilianis..:) both are quite slow and ideal for both high an' low tech tanks..:) but for me I prefer using glossostigma infront and cuba at the back (to add to the perspective depth) with mix of parvula and few mosses or M.hirsuta/lileopesis...

    Anyone tried these "exotic" species

loves both rocks and wood! :) if possible tie in such a way that the roots penetrate the soil..I have noticed this way they grow tad faster(like 1 leaf per 21-22ish days)..they are terribly slow grower though..:) as for the styro - they grow big in comparison it's brothers..:)

    Anyone tried these "exotic" species

    1) Bucephalandra Motteyana sp. Sintang - a friend of mine gifted it couple of months back - grows just like anubias..but appreciates light a tad bit higher than anubias, more the Co2 in the tank the peppering will get intense. Can be easily used in MG 2) Staurogyne Sp. Bihar - A plant from my...

Please evaluate my iwagumi-ish set up - Am I doing it right?

i would say - with all the heater and Co2 in the outflow line the flow was already slow from what I could make in the video that you posted..a spraybar in that flow rate..IMO it'll get slower even further! test it out a bit and visual and floatation test might be a good option I guess
  30. zico_aqua

Please evaluate my iwagumi-ish set up - Am I doing it right?

yes that's would be nice..always remember - more the flow in the tank the better..:)

Please evaluate my iwagumi-ish set up - Am I doing it right?

now that is a lot of hair grass! wow! firstoff - the hair grass should ideally have been segregated into smaller clumps for faster propagation to be honest. But look on the brighter side - you have enough plant mass to start off with. Second as for substrate I personally cannot advice anything...
