I use a 3000k Osram and a 14000k Iquatics marine white! I have tried immeasurable combinations, this one cost less than £12 and is as close to perfect as I and the plants have got. Thanks to Clive I'm very aware of the matrix!

Try descaler or a weak citric acid solution?

I cleaned mine with peroxide! It fizzed like buggery and now seems to produce sparse, large bubbles.

Does anyone know where to get replacement diffusers from? I cleaned mine in 18% peroxide and nuked it!

Fantastic!!! I was using the DD co2 bottles costing £21.99 plus £6.99 postage from Aqua essentials. The exact same bottle from machine mart (which is at the end of my street) £11.99!!!!!! Someone's making a tidy profit.

I have 3 on my 180 litre tank. Growth is good, although no where as robust as it was with the twin 39 watt lumiere.

Aqua essentials are expensive as are the postage costs. Green Machine are excellent as are Aquajardin, they order the plants in direct from Tropica which means they are super quality.

I bought one today. There is a definite high pitched noise while it's running. I'm betting it's some sort of sonic device.

I've got a 4 tube unit. I have 1 gro-lux, 1 ati purple, 1 iquatics 50:50 and a 4000k. I want to swap out the 4000k and replace it with a stronger red. Thanks for the info. I'll scour the forum. ;-)

Thanks Tim. I've used the Wavepoint previously, it's too pink! These tubes are so difficult to find in the Uk.

Heres my setup. I run 2 for 8 hours with the 3rd coming on for a 3 hour 'blast' at midday.

I gave up in the end with the Juwel internal filter. Which ever way i pointed it, the flow was either too strong and localised or sweeping the background plants to a 45 degree angle. I also wanted to free up more space in my Rio 180. I have a JBL Cristalprofi e1500 which coupled with a Hydor 1.6...

Aim both at the front. That way the current flows down the front and over the substrate.

What about Tropica Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini'?

Like a combo of 10000k & gro-lux. Reds are a little flat, overall quite natural.

Just installed both bars. Pretty impressed with the output and colour rendition. Have ordered another so i can have an extra blast for 3 hours at midday.

I've never had any luck with pearl gouramis. I had 2 kept in a heavily planted tank, it did have a high flow rate and so attributed their demise to that.

The 50cm one is 18 watts. The 90cm is 35! Maybe there's some mathematical solution haha

The PAR info on the Aqua essentials site relates to the 50cm version. They haven arrived yet! Eeek lol

Help! I've purchased 2 90cm Arcadia stretch LED's for my 180 litre hi-tech tank. Together they have about 70 watts. I can't find any PAR information on this particular size? Any help would be good.

It's been a little over 2 weeks since the last picture was taken. Trimmed the Ludwigia rubens and Hairgrass, also added some Rotala Wallichi to the rear left ad moved the Myriopyllum to the rear right.

Tank has suffered a bit over the last week. BBA algae and thread have taken over. Reverted to my old T5 luminaire. Upped the ferts and increased co2. Will post a pic later!

I've not had any success with the unit. It has had 3 seperate faults and due to to the lack of control over intensity with the timers, plants have suffered (ludwigia repens and riccardia especially) the unit is being returned.

I've only used them once. They sent me the wrong plant. Vallisneria instead of Cyperus helferi. Plus it was covered in snail eggs.

The quality and speed of delivery from Aqua Essentials is second to none. I order frequently from them and have never received a lees than perfect plant!

Hi Lee, Thanks for the reply. I'm not using the hood, as i have an OTT luminaire. All the pipes i've seen so far are too short to reach the waterline. I'll have a look at the link. a pic would be great!
