Exactly my airstone comes on at 21h30, about 40 minutes before lights off and by around 07h30 my tank co2 is degassed and ph 8.1 again... My co2 does go off at 21h00 used to go off at 21h15 so having it on for that extra 30 minutes is not gonna really waste co2. Still waiting for @ceg4048 for...

On the calc i used you throw 15gm into a 500ml water and you then dose 100ml x5 days. But anyway not sure if the calc I have been using for years actually give lower ppm. Just imagine if im actually dosing correctly with 71gm that it will actually give me 36ppm...per week... 15 grams like gives...

Rather dose more regularly for 2 or 3 week meaning macros and micros on the same day for 5 to 6 days. You can only try. Pleasure.

Nice, do yourself a favor send Clive a pm regarding this and I am sure that he will be able to help you out. One thing you can try out is start dosing macros in the morning and micro in the evenings, it could be that by Friday evening you dont have enough ferts in your tank and this is why...

How many watts of light do you have on this tank?

Dude go read up on some of Clive's replies regarding any algae issues. Too much light does cause algae, you will see nobody runs their light for 11 hours mostly between 6-8 hours.

Yeah that might also be the issue.

I also experienced this, it is most of the time the lights that cannot reach the lower sections of the plants and this causes it to fall off and die.

You are dosing to little NPK and you also need to dose trace mix (micros) get csm +b plantex for traces. http://www.ukaps.org/index.php?page=dosing-with-dry-salts New plants do take a while for it to settle in nicely, patience is very important in a planted tank :) Good luck :thumbup:

I also have to increase my po4 sometimes when I see gsa is on my glass, remember as plants grow more denser and bigger they need more ferts. you can dose 5 x the recommended dosage it wont harm anything, Clive use to dose 10 x the normal dosage levels and the plants actually grew much quicker...

There is no ratio between kno3 and po4 just dose more po4 ferts dont cause algae, you guys can also ask Clive about this.

I have learned from our expert Clive:) that a Drop checker is only a rough guide, and that your fish will tell you at the end of the day if your co2 is to high then just turn it down a bit until they are fine.
