Ive not had many but xmas moss is better looking them java grows easy enough.

i has staghorn ones too and they really do look lost in a 125L. i have ramshorns (which never seem to go away) and apple snails, there are now "mini" apple snails that dont grow too big, very cute. Watch them for hours. Think apples are more out going then some of the other snails.

puffers, or i did have some loaches that became so fat from eating snails that they stopped!!!!!!!!!!! Then i had to just suck them up when i cleaned out

What about engery use? Is an open topped one use more engery then a closed one? With heating coming out the top. etc.

There are two upside down plastic ones to help the little fry...! That is the back of the tank i dont currently have one of the front but i will get one tonight at some point

The funnest, i watched a poor boy cant have been more then 16 yr old over the weekend, trying to get tiny shrimp. This women and her son wanted this special on and everytime he got one the little boy went no not that one, that one... I was crying i was laughing so much. The kid had gone brighter...

Its a fish eat fish world in tanks... I often found that one small fish might disappear. Normally my plec is the one to suck the body good bye.

Nice i like it. Love the fish sets it off nicely... I always laugh at the poor guy that has to catch the fish, always feel sorry i tend to go look around so there is less presure. But still laugh. Found watching people try and catch otto's the funnest...!!

This is really interesting, My parents got a tank when i was young and i was always changing things, never really serious, but it was 2 years before i got all the plants in place and wood correct. Because most local fish shops didnt stock the plants i wanted in my book. I have since taken the...

I have always wondered about getting an exerternal filter but i know nothing about it. I was put off getting one last time i went in my LFS when the guy went on and on and on... poor little me standing looking very confused and he was still going on and on... I know a fair amount about...

Completely agree p@h in Brentford, they are rubbish! i foolishly bought some fish a while ago, diseased, horrible, died quickly. Plants can be good if they have just had some stock in. Staff are rubbish apart from "Dave" head guy knows his marine stuff not so much on the tropical.

Looks good. Ive never had much luck with angel fish. I wish i did as that looks amazing.

Ive never before had one got a new fluvel (think thats it) tank a year ago and it has some holes in the back and thats where the buggies get in. Always had a fitted lid normally. Ive only ever found one or two filters bug killers p@h did one for a while doesnt anymore.
