When you fertilize daily you keep a more stable dosis, with small spikes, so the amounts of nutrients are always the ones plants need but there're not leftovers for algae. If you dose weekly you produce a huge spike in the nutrients levels, but plants doesn't use more nutrients, in this case...

Time for an update: The tank is now one month old, I added Christmas moss to some branches and more anubias petite in the lower parts of the scape. It's a really slow growing tank but I'm enjoying the way fish behave in this new aquascape with open swimming space and a densely planted area...

I like the aquascape but been honest I think it can improve. The green plants are the same shade of lime green, also you can use different leaf shapes and sizes. I will suggest before shooting it down to change some plants, maybe add some temple plant and/or echinodorus reni. More leaf contrast...

Not really common combination but really efective in my opinion, I like Amano´s Hyphessobrycon mix.. not only phantoms.. ember, elachys, ornate.. seen in allot of his tanks. ;)

I´ll sugest to use a good substrate like amazonia for crypst and swords that are realy heavy root feeders.. Do you have a plant list in your mind? A fish list? .... a well mixed fish stock allways is amazing!

Been honest, I don´t know what is happening here, Is a very long thread and has evolved poorly. I´ll recomend you to try easier plants that are really beautiful. Cryptocorynes and bolbitits are some of my favorite plats and are easy plants !! A nice piece of driftwood with java or christmas moss...

I like tjhe rock work, i'll choose a 90p over a 120, why? I don't know.. I prefer the shape. A 120H has also a nice shape, but bigger, the 45cm of depht is the same in all of them.

sometimes is nice to start a new tank, the bad thing of doing that is that a mature aquascape is lost, and there are things that just time can do, that's what makes your tank so beatiful. Look at Amano's 180c at sumida aquarium, when it was at the ADA gallery it was about 10 years old, it was so...

Not all BA are black, I've had some green in the past, add excel or H2O2 directly over it, if it turns red in a day or too it's a BA, and you can get rid of it with excel.

LOL you stop cleaning the clear acrylic stand, you start cleaning the mirror :lol: I agree with you, It looks better in this tank that in campaign's. Maybe the one in the video, was ruined by the fish, overstocked, unatural, and... a pretty bad selection IMHO. :yuck:
