I have seen people create backgrounds using cement to cover polystyrene which got me wondering wether it would be possible to get any wood(such as non safe) from a local forest and dunk it in cement and apply the same method as the diy backgrounds. Not sure if this is a crazy idea or if anyone...

Only looking for a cheap light, three that i have found are hidom al 3 , hidom al 4 and the boyu 3 x 8 watt...
Hi i currently have an aqua-nano 40 aquarium with the stock 18 watt pfl bulb which only seems to grow anubias and java fern. I want to start growing medium light plants but don't want to go down the C02 route.
I was thinking of buying the boyu 3 x 8 watt t5 light but not sure if this would be...

they receive in the pic never knew there would be as big a difference as that.
Just bought wendtii tropica and was wandering in anyone has any pictures of there's or info on size.

Could anyone tell me if this is the actual name of this plant (Cryptocoryne Green crisped Leaf) or there is another name for it. Not much info on the net, be grateful if anyone could help .

By the way, thanks for all the replies. I ended up building up a load of driftwood at the back to form a background which doesn't look to bad. i looked at egeria densa but even though it doesn't mind low light it didn't look very appealing to me. i already have java fern so decided to cover...
