I have had apple snails for 2 years not and have bever had a problem with them eating plants. I was only worried about the otto's being with the shrimp.

Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any experience with this system? Was wondering if there was any other cannister's which would work with it other than the 74gm hydor one.

Hi all,
I was just wondering how you would package trumpets and Ramshorn snail?
Would you treat a Ramshorn snail like an apple? In damp cotton wool in contairner
Thanks
Steph
It is strange as i did keep putting boiling water onto it. The only problem now is it's in the tank with plants on (took me ages) with shrimp.
Maybe i could scrub it off every day?? Maybe dose with melafix (just in case)
I have got 2 bits of Redmoor wood in my tank. Today i have noticed today it has got white fluffy fungus stuff growing off it. Before it went into tank i had it in hot water over night.
Has anyone else has this problem and is it something i should be worried about it?
Thanks
Steph
The yeast is long and thin, i have it going through a glsss diffuser.

I use the hagen unit. Fill to the first line with sugar, almost a full tea spoon of yeast , then i fill to the top line with luke warm water.
Would you be able to to dose with Easy Carbo aswell?
With the Easy Carbo, can you dose with shrimp? (wondering for my other tank 30ltr)

Steph

So say if i have the tank heavily stocked, well planted with high lights which one would i go for?
I have also got on high light heavily planted with not much fish, what one would that be?
Just want to make sure i get the right one.
Thanks again for all your help
Steph
Thanks for the replys.
I may go down the route of using Tropica plant Nutrition as i don't know much info on the dry ferts.
I have 3 small tanks in total all under 50 litres.... would the tropica be ok for this and is it safe to use if you have shrimp?
Thanks again
Steph
Liquid ferts that you buy.
Im using the seachem rang but it you seem to have to buy a few bottles to cover everything which is a pain.
I would like to use the dry mix but would not have a clue where to start.
