    Aquascaper 900 - 1 Year Update . Thinking of a rescape soon.

An impressive start for a "complete noob"; Congratulation, keep us posted; In case of your "strong light issue", I would recommend not reducing(I also have a Twinstar E), but on the other hand, increase the "water change" frequency; Something like, every 2~3 days a new 30%~50% water change...

    Came this far

Hi Archer, Carefull with Lake Malawi Cichlids. They tend to be VERY aggressive with fishes not coming from Lake Malawi. In other words, Lake Malawi Cichlids have some particularity of water parameters and behavior that they can only live with themselves hunting other species. Careful with Neon...

    Attempting the unknown...

Looking forward to see this carpet closed. Just a point. I believe if you make the front substrate more linear, this "wave" in the middle of the tank would call less attention! (Beneficial in my opinion) Enviado do meu iPhone usando Tapatalk

    Crystal Mountain

Thanks Nuno! I know this guys very well. Their shop is amazing. And Luca capacity to build hardscape is pretty impressive! Of course you know this! The aquarium you share is from 2013. At that time it was not THAT hard to find rasboras. As I mentioned, I believe some species get prohibited to...

    Crystal Mountain

Nuno, que aquário fantástico! Parabéns. Back to english in respect of all forum users :) May I ask you, are they Rasboras Harlequin? If I'm not wrong, here in Brazil at least, they get prohibited of commercialization! The only Rasboras I can find in the market nowadays are Galaxy. Which are...

Canister for a 60x35x35 planted tank

Hi Madhav, Yes, I´m going with the 1Klph! You convinced me! Haha No, I´m not going to have any braces into my tank. It will be 8mm. Not planning many fishes. Probably some small Tetras/Rasboras (10 fishes more/less) Thanks for the image! Braces for sure are an embarrassment. Was the image...

Canister for a 60x35x35 planted tank

Hi Madhav! Yes, I´m pretty sure that I will go with the Classic 600 (1000lph). Probably it will be enough. Found at amazon around 139 usd. Cheapest I could find. Initially I´m planning to use the Canister Kit(spray bar) and them move to glass lily pipe. Any suggestion on pipes?

Canister for a 60x35x35 planted tank

Thanks Madhav. Just read in another topic (kind of old-2012) that a guy with similar spec than mine consider the Classic 600 - 2217 over necessity. Hahaha! On the other hand, I agree with you. Better some excess(if real) instead of lack of circulation/oxygenation; Thanks you! Let´s wait some...

Canister for a 60x35x35 planted tank

Hi Madhav! Appreciate your support and valuable comment! I´m planning a dense planted tank(nothing dutch, but carpet, mid and back plants). Do you believe, even the Classic 350 will not be enough? It runs 620lph. :( I´m afraid that anything bigger than this, my friend will not be able to carry...

Canister for a 60x35x35 planted tank

Good morning all! How are you today? I would like a suggestion on filtration perspective for the tank I´m planning. It will be a planted tank 60x35x35cm(~73.5L / ~19.3 Gallons), running CO2, high LED lighting, ADA substrate and liquid fertilization. Which Canister would be the best cost...

Mangrove Beach (A journey into the unknown!)

Let me just ask you. This rock, on the sand, over the wood. Is just to hold the root down, or this will stay there. For me is a little disconnected. Sorry for that! :) On the other hand, the planting process seems to be great!

    45 cm Iwagumi-ish aquascape

Got your point! Maybe I will go with this stainless steal as well. Afraid of breaking the glass and as the shipment from Aliexpress to Brazil take about 1.5 to 2 months to arrive, the "unbreakable" may be better! Thanks, Jack.

    45 cm Iwagumi-ish aquascape

@ShawnMac what an amazing scape. Let me ask you two things: 1.) What is the hardscape? Green dragon? 2.) The Pipes and CO2 difusor, are aluminum? Stainless steel? Where did you get it? I saw some really similar into Aliexpress/Ebay. How are the results? I'm in doubt between those and the glass...

    Dou's Various Tanks (ADA 60P, Do!Aqua MiniM+Cube, 90x30x36, etc.)

Wow, what a nice evolution. Congratulations! Let me ask your opinion regarding the canister. I'm planning a tank really similar in size of the ADA 60P, but i was planning to buy an Eheim 250 Classic (2213). Isn't enough? I see that you have the Eheim Classic 350 (2215). Isn't to strong flow...

    90P from Norway

For the initial photos, it is visible that you have algae in suspension. Try to reduce the photoperiod (6h). If don't work, try a bump of CO2 + lights off 24h (do some PH test as this may fluctuate this parameter) Algae usually come from leak or excess of nutrients. In your case I believe it is...

    30 cm Nano Nature Scape

Hmm got it! I never know which tank I will more likely run. Always start with a mixed low/high specs and end moving to high specs (read here: carpet). Considering it is "cheap" compared to other brands, I will buy and if not fit on my tank specs, I will sell to some will a higher specs...

    30 cm Nano Nature Scape

Hi Shaw! Well, so, the Chihiros is too good? Haha I got your point that it is too strong and bright and this film should dim it. Not fan of "adaptations", but i think this would be a solution. And limit its light to 6h/day? The good think about the Chihiros is that it is cheap compared to many...

    30 cm Nano Nature Scape

Hi Shaw, thanks for you reply! First of all, congratulations for you second son!!! :) On the sequence, I was wondering what light should I buy for the tank I'm planning (60x35x35 cm) and over my research I came up that the best "cheapest" solution would be the Chihiros. I'm still in doubt! :)...
