Yes, I read that, tried it and its ok for me. No change in noise at all.

I have mine on the inlet to the filter. More time to disolve into the water before it comes back into the tank. Also not bubbles in the tank. Just also thought, as its a siphon line, theres no water pressure on it either.

Did you phone CO2 art?

Is your flourish the nutrient, brown liquid?

No one's unwound the pressure adjusting nob without you knowing? Will it rise to your full working pressure? It doesn't sound good, perhaps a call to CO2 art in the morning and see what they say.

Mine doesn't grow quick at all. Its taken months to get that big. I'll tie it down and trim and see what happens.

OK, I might pull it out and tie it down on a rock. Is that a good idea, or does it need to go in the substrate?

It's a superfish 60ltr tank with the built in LEDs. Do you mean NOT getting enough CO2?

Hi all, I have the T5's in my Juwel, as you may have guessed by the thread title, and have 2 day light tubes. Noticed they do NATURE and COLOUR. Any advantage in a planted tank to mix? If so what's a good mix to have?

Could probably do with a bit more dense planting at the back, but it seems to be coming along ok. I think I have green beard algae. Plants are pearling loads, just the hydrocotyle tripartita doesn't seem to be growing that fast and I thought it was a fast grower? I think it might be lacking light?

Little update photo, few changes. I also have a new bulb, Nymphaea Rubra at the mid left, so that should bring some nice contrast through soon. I would go with diatoms

Not normal, needle has moved or gauge has been over pressured.

has your atomiser blocked? that will make it hard for the CO2 to escape. Seems really odd that the gauge is still on 750psi if the bottle is emptying.

If your bottles running low, the high pressure gauge should drop, unless it's faulty and jammed, but unlikely. What size is your tank and what bubble rate do you have it set too?

I keep laying sand as the fish dig up the soil. given up, it's getting quite deep with sand lol

One thing I was told 50 to 80% water change per week for a planted tank. Not saying that's the cause, because I don't know much :confused:

I'm not an expert in anyway, but I think the right rock is too flat.

I dose TNC complete, it says one dose a week, but I spread that out (correct amount per ltr/ml). So I do a 50% water change, dose half, then mid week, dose the other half. I also use Seachem Flurish and carry out the same dosing technique as above. As for the CO2, maybe I need to get that on...

I've bought their value plants just to fill up the tank. Get about 75 loose stems for £12.60 I think it is. They all seemed healthy, some have grown well, some have not, but I think thats more me o_O

Currently they are eating decaying plants and I drop in some shrimp pellets, algae wafers and they steal the sinking fish food pellets. But I've seen the catappa leaves, mulberry, guava and banana leaves for shrimp on fish sites. Should I be feeding them things like this, or is that aimed at...

Yes, its a very different tank. Everything from plants to fish seem to be a lot happier. I do have one guppy that just hides in the corner, I thought he was going to die, but that was weeks ago. He just seems like an inactive fish, still eats food which is good.

Tissue culture plants never took off, so I added some bigger plants. Couple of otto's to munch up the diatoms. Looking better now, but not how I intended it to be, lol.

Some of the tissue culture plants are still alive and some even look like they are slowly starting to grow. One siad 30cm in 30days, which is never going to happen, lol. Perhaps they like an established tank rather than a few months old one?

I have been tweaking the CO2 to come on earlier, its hust going green by the time the lights are going off. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have it sorted. Then can let it be for a bit and let the tank settle.

My shrimp like it, as in eat it I think. Looks like yours has had the same thing dome to it? yes, the Hygrophila corymbosa looks about right. So annoying I lost the label, but the more I think, perhaps it never came with one. I will try to take some cuttings, free plants for the other tank ;)

Little update, tank is doing well because of the 50% water changes. If only I knew that ages ago, lol. Shame about those fern type plants. I guess i'll leave them there, as I have nothing else to do with them. Can someone ID the plant in the second photo, i've lost the label that came with it...

So leave the roots under the soil and it should regrow?

Pulled the plant out today, but it had great roots. Not sure what it didn't like. Ludwigia had to come out too. Wish I put that in my other tank, just to see if it would grow in there.

wow, 50% water change and a day to settle, tank looks amazing today, water is looking super clean. One thing I noticed, the plant in the middle, just under the gourami, was a vibrant pink/purple. Today its gone red and not vibrant. Is this just because of the move or is it suffering already?

I did big water changes daily, probably 30% till the nitrite and ammonia came down, then onto weekly.

Today it seemed to work well, going green soon after lights come on. Might need a little tweak tomorrow just so it's a little greener to start with.

Annoyingly I took one of my filters out today and it wasnt the one I thought had the phosphate remover in. Ill have to wait to pull the other one open, as whilst I had the wrong filter out I cleaned it. I put a load of plants in today, pulled out some of the straggly dead looking ones. Not sure...

Water changes once a week. I did a 50% this morning after cleaning most of the diatoms off first, so I could suck it all out. I saw the cycle, levels rise and drop to zero.
