Warning on Chihiros A Series 2

Haha sorry mate, hopefully my experiences help someone rather than panic them, it does seem an overly dramatic title now I'd like to point out my flatmate had similar connectivity issues, it is the light rather than my phone, but I imagine it was due to GPS not being on when he tried I was...

Warning on Chihiros A Series 2

Okay so I jumped the gun a bit (I've been stuck home for 6 weeks, going a bit ladida) and have managed to get it working Turns out you need to turn on your GPS as well as bluetooth, restart your phone a few times and keep fiddling with turning the light on and off I can't think of a legitimate...

Warning on Chihiros A Series 2

Bought a Chihiros A series 2 a few weeks back, foolishly didn't test it when it arrived. Testing it now and there is no way for the bluetooth app to connect (many others have had this problem accordiung to the play store). Since there is no manual control this light is essentially useless and a...

    Experimental 25L

Yeah I agree, that's just how it goes though. If I actually trim then the few at the front may stay visible. Anyone know how Littorella handles being trimmed?

    Experimental 25L

So I decided to get a new tank. Admittedly this was a while back and I've just been lazy posting this journal. The tank was to be in my room, opposite my bed on my chest of drawers. I wanted to try out open top and get a lot of emersed growth going and my bank balance decided on a smaller sized...

Attaching metal inflow/outflow pipes to glass

So earlier this week I spent some time trying to work down the acrylic bits to a size I could squeeze the pipes around. I'd never worked with Acrylic before. At first I tried to melt them with a soldering gun but this turned it yellow. I used a coping saw to cut the ends down to size, having to...

Attaching metal inflow/outflow pipes to glass

Incredibly I've managed to buy an inflow with 13mm diameter and an outflow of 10mm, hadn't even considered this was a possibility and I'm pretty miffed all round with the situation, No idea what to do, hose wont fit the outflow, pipes have no way of being secured to the glass, that's what you...

Attaching metal inflow/outflow pipes to glass

How does everyone attach their metal inflow/outflow? I've recently picked up what I believe are the old Chihiros nano inflow and outflow from Aliexpress for a new tank. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32609251100.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.7cbb4c4d48pCwZ I also picked up some acrylic pipe...

    Second attempt, low tech

1 Month update: I bought 8 Trigonostigma espei and a few more shrimp 2-3 weeks ago. One of the rasboras likes to hide under the filter and is occasionally joined by mates but comes out to feed and I see him hiding less as time goes by Following a couple of shrimp deaths I added Hygrophila...

    Second attempt, low tech

Good job I took the photos before the melt began then haha. I take a bunch of salvinia out every few days, I agree there were too many whilst I was taking the pics. There are far fewer in there at the moment but they grow very quickly. The filter outflow is set up so the floaters keep to the...

    Second attempt, low tech

So I decided to rescape my first attempt at a planted tank. It had been running for a year and a half or so but (aesthetically) neglected for a few months due to time constraints/health issues. The tank is a 38L Marina Lux with its associated LED strip which I am sure falls into the low light...

Custom Tank from Aquatic Design Centre in London?

I am looking to get a tank about 75lx40wx30h (cm) and was wondering if anyone had experience with the Aquatic Design Centre in Balham? Was looking to see if anyone on here knew their quality before I got in contact. http://www.aquaticdesign.co.uk/aquarium-price-calculator/ gives it at £117 in...

    co3 carbon trioxide

Co2O is Cobalt Oxide not the same as CO3, don't use it. Actually ignore this, Cobalt has 2+ ionic charge, not sure what CO2O is. Still wouldn't use cleaning fluid. Pretty sure only C02 can be used in photosynthesis anyway.
