Haha, yes, exactly.... I can just about cope with the forktails, but the threadfins are just too mobile. I keep counting until I arrive at the number I should have.... whether that's right or wrong.

Really beautiful! I agree, the hardscape had something really dynamic and strong. Obviously it is wonderful to see all the healthy growth, but a similar hardscape with more of the hardscape remaining as part of the picture would (also) have been stunning.

There is light at the end of the tunnel. The anubia are recovering, in fact they seem to be thriving! New leaves growing, "flowers" opening! The tiny ones are simply gorgeous. Anubias "Bonsai" or "Petite" - really darling little leaves and dense as heck. The Amazon Swords are still looking sad...

I had a real messy situation doing that once and decided back then not to do it again. Personally I'd trim it back and leave it in until you want to do a complete rescape. If you try and pull it out chances are you might be in for an (unplanned) rescape anyway ;)

Yep, I know! So much easier with the tank in the kitchen and not miles away or, god forbid, up or down any stairs, and with a tiled floor so splashes don't matter!
