I’ve managed to get my skimmer to work on 600lph. But requires some fiddling with the air in the “hat” and breaking of surface tension

I have a small pump head at 400lph which seems to do most of the water movement now. Seems to help a bit but the filter floss I use as a guard for it gets clogged too easily and requires cleaning every 3 weeks.

Ah right. The back left end gets good circulation from the filter but it’s the right back end and underneath the lilypipe that gets bad flow. So the way the pump blows now circulates water to both those ends

Quick update Plants growing in further. Also added 4 ottos and 4 Amano Shrimp.... who have taken a liking to the fungus on the wood but spread it all over the tank (water column and plants) Going to get an army of 20 orange shrimp this Monday to help out.

Just did some soap suds test found out the adaptor for the co2 cylinder to the Sodastream bottle wasn’t tighten enough. So I tightened it and it worked fine for a bit. And then.... I heard a loud hissing and found the cylinder had “unscrewed” itself from the adaptor! Tightened it again and...

So, I’ve turned needle valve completely off, no bubbles in bubble counter, 10 mins later and co2 microbubbles still spewing out from filter outlet. That shouldn’t be the case should it?

I stand by Ada Amazonia all the way. Never had an issue with it, kept a tank running with the first batch of soil for years and never crumbled that much. Supplemented by substrate revistalisers of course though
