Personally because you say less trimming and you have a sump why not go low tech and slow things down a bit no co2
Also i think because you have 2ft.depth you may need some stem plants to get the height
Good luck and get some pics up
On a personal note to Geoff this guy has gone beyond today to deliver fish to my home and i am truly grateful
On a general note i have kept fish for 40+ years and been on many many forums this one is second to none
all you guys pass your knowledge on day to day i have never seen.any.clicks like...
Hi Zeus.hope your well mate i think it looks a mess you should be ashamed of yourself letting it grow so much it needs a massive trim and send all the left over bits to me ha ha

Hi my corys love pets at home cat fish pleco pellets they are approx 12mm long by 6mm diameter and soft all my fish go nuts for these and graze for hours but all my corys just love them also good for ottos
So when you get older you get very indecisive after weeks of reviews which regulator how much money should i spend i was about to press the button on a co2art kit.
Then i was talking to my mate who runs a BOC depot to sort my gas supply and very reasonable i must say
He can do me a lab quality...

Thanks Zeus i must admit i was waiting for you to come onboard with this
So 2 fx6 filters 1 on the left and 1 on the right intake and return are on the same side as filter running 2 4ft spray bars across the back of the tank
So can i use a splitter from the bc to run 2 bazookas under the spray...
Thank you foxfish
The fx6 filters are programmed to shut down every 12hrs for 1-2 mins to allow gases to release then auto restart im thinking my best simplest option is to run 2 bazuka type diffusers 4ft apart under the spray bars
Hi guys well my tank as been running just over 12months now ive learnt a lot and so much more to learn

Hi if it were me and for only one week i would ask my LFS to hold my fish
Or drain the old tank down to 10% and move the whole tank and fish together its only 10g so should be doable
Depending on your fish stock could you not drop your tank Temperature lower say 22/23 that would give you less impact on the cooler water change
This is infact what i have just done but i have a 200ltr water storage tank under my tank which is mains fed so i fill add declorinator and leave for...
Tank is 500ltr heavily stocked and planted
My intentions were to remove both fx6 and run a sump i have a spare 200ltr tank for the sump and i also have a jebao dct 6000 going spare

My stc was set to a 1 deg +/- so heat on and off was fairly consistent day and night
I have since looked at my fish stock and adjusted my temps actually on all my tanks i took Zeus advice dropped my temp to 21 +/- 1 and the heaters haven't come on in 24hrs
Maybe mts has gone too far for me time...
Im with ovo electricity 600w per hour = 10p i recorded my stc100 for an hour it was calculated that over a period of 24hrs it would be on 20hrs =£2.00 per day x 31 days =£62
Thanks guys been running my tank at 24/25 with an stc 1000 i worked out these heaters are costing £70 a month in electricity
So ive turned them down to 21.5/22.5 and they haven't come on in 36 hours and my tank is holding 23.5. But thanks for your imput
Hi guys i need to start thinking of cutting my lecy bill down
