i have the fluval 240l with a fx5 running through a sera co2 reactor and a 950lph wave maker you wont need to worry about having too much water flow.
i tried a diffuser and then an inline diffuser but was using heaps of co2 and the tank was full of micro bubbles, switched to the sera reactor...
Looks good Nuno
I have ordered a wrgb120 a couple days ago. Fingers crossed it will arrive soon I’ll take some pictures and post it all up when it gets here
Hahahahaha love the translation. Thanks heaps zozo, I contacted the seller and they have loads of sizes to choose from I’ll have to start a journal once I gather all the parts together as I believe anyone with the Fluval tank would benefit from it.
Regards
Dave
Hi Andrew
I had considered blanking the holes off but I honestly like how easy it is to disconnect the filter/hoses plus I don’t have to worry about filling hoses etc to get the siphon going again I just turn a tap and gravity takes over.
So you have seen some clear bulkhead fittings in a...
hello all
I have 2 Fluval tanks that have bulkheads through the bottom (f60 and a 240l) while I have hidden the pipes on the 240 with hard scape the f60 has the pipes on the main viewing side of the tank.
So my question is has anyone seen any clear bulkhead fittings as this would make them...
Has anyone used or even seen these lights in person I can’t find much info on them at all.

to start with its far easier to use another tank to try mimic the core layout then the more you do it the easier it will be.
have a look at this: https://tropica.com/en/inspiration/layout/Layout108/21195 the island style scape is good as it will allow for fairly good flow around the tank its...
i think the rocks in pic 3 and 4 don't look very natural because they all point to the timber like the petals on a sunflower maybe try mixing the directions up a bit.
a good go for the first try keep at it!
dave
get a small tank that you can scape, let grow for a month or 2 then tear it down and re scape it again and again until you are happy with the end result.
i have 8 cpd's and they constantly swim all over the place, really stunning fish i wish i had got them when i started the tank as i would have got more!
i remember seeing on george farmers youtube that he put monte carlo in between some rocks and that it would grow to drape down the rocks, if memory serves he mentioned that jurijs jutjajevs had shown it to him.
if you don't know much these two individuals youtube channels will be a great...
wow i must have been very lucky then as i bought 6 and only lost one.
re breeding i had a look about before i ordered mine and found this on scotcat.com
https://www.scotcat.com/factsheets/hara_hara.htm
There has been a report of the breeding of Hara jerdoni by an aquarist here in the U.K...
As per the title is there a for sale section on the forum?
There probably is and I’m just being a bit special.
I’m in the market for a light for my 1200 tank and thought some of you good people may have some you’re looking to re home
Many thanks
Dave
It really depends on what plants and fish you are going to keep. If you do some research on what you will keep you might identify that some may not suit others and as such you will need to adapt your stocking list until it suits what your after.
There is no ideal temp to suit all tanks
Hope...
I had a week without co2 right before I went on Holiday and came back to huge alge problems, mainly bba, took the usual steps to stop any further growth but it just wasn’t going away.
In the end I spot dosed hydrogen peroxide 3% and it died right off. I only did small sections right before a...
I have 5 of these in my community tank that are out quite regularly. I feed them at night just to make sure they get their fill as I have Cory’sx3 and insatiable danios.
Absolutely love mine and would highly recommend them.
I love using auto dosing for my ferts if you set it up for liquid carbon get one that you can use for ferts once you’re pressurised co2 is up and running
I just read this tread and it really hit home as I’m having some of the same issues. I have tweeked the flow and I’m now seeing almost all my plants pearling.
Previously only a select few where pearling.
Clearly you all know your stuff.
Many thanks
Dave
depending on where you purchased it i would be taking it to them and seeing if they can replace under warranty, at least then if there is an issue there is a log of you bringing it to their attention sooner rather than later (emails work well as there is no disputing it happened) some places...
i had a little water pump with a hose that i would use to blow the hard scape off with worked well you just had to be careful you didn't blow more dust up lol
