Ottos need algea/biofilm to eat. As far as I learned it's better to add ottos in a more mature tank and start with other fish first. Or is algea getting out of control? I waited 6 weeks before adding fish in my first tank.

Asta 20 might be an option for light. Dimmable. And a gooseneck so you can play a bit with the height and/or position it in a way that you dont look into it when sitting at the kitchen table. ONF nano is getting a lot of praise from a lot of users, but asta 20 is a bit cheaper.

Was looking this up recently myself. On a YouTube video from Rachel O'Leary she mentioned one for each 5 gallon, till a maximum of 1 per 2.5 gallon. Tank has to be mature. They are very hard to feed something else when there is no algue left. Around 3:40

No, not really. Kinda hard to describe. More a "flow" sound.

It isnt the loudest sound, but I think I would rather go with a HOB filter (also have an aquael Fzn-2) then the Eheim 150 of the tank was standing in our bedroom. No experience with an Oase.
