Thanks for the advice john, I already have the uv unit, i used to use it on a malawi tank i had which was quite highly stocked, so iv just always used it since, but i guess it will slow down my flow rate from the external filter, so i might disconnect it. whats the best way to check for Co2...

Thanks for the help so far, Come to think of it, the algae has increased since i added 2 spray bars to my filter outlet which has decreased the flow around my tank, im gonna switch it back to 1 spray bar. Iv never heard of koralias before but i see people rave about them, im guessing they are...

I was thinking this to, but one concern is that i will be keeping discus and i didnt want a strong current.

The next steps i plan to take with my set up is to add a co2 system and also to up grade my filter to get a higher flow rate.

Whats the difference between J5 and T5? Do thay juat call them J5 because they are T5s that fit the juwel High-lite range?

Glenn, The T8s come as standard on the jewel aqariums, It should say on the bulbs. And I don't think the T5 bulbs will fit T8 units and visa versa. Thanks Darren
