That's where I have it. Circulation was stuck to left side before but spray bar fixed that. I can see the micro bubbles moving around tank and have good sway everywhere so don't think its circulation.
I have read something similar. Only seems delicate stems like ludwigia is affected. I planted pogestomon erectus from culture a week ago and that has grown thick and 4 inches already
Tank is aqua nano 40 with back filter rated 600lph. Got it on full flow with aftermarket spray bar. Diffusing the co2 in the last filter chamber 1bps and borderline yellow in opposite corner on DC. Livestock 7 dwarf rainbows, 4 ottos and 10 amanos. Ph 6.6. Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 20. I...
Tank is 55 litre cube. Co2 injection, fluval plant 3 lighting, 50% water change twice weekly. All other plants flourishing. Pot stems growing inch a day. Nice red Ludwigia super red. Crystal clear water. Just these species in- vitro I am struggling with.
I'm having real trouble growing certain stems only available in-vitro and repeatedly failing but really want these plants. Plants are ammania sp. Bonsai, ludwigia H'ra and Ludwig Guinea.
The plants start of well then start to melt away from the bottom up. I think the problem is related to...
Thanks Foxfish.
Yes they are thin on the ground and I could only find two available in UK which dissolve the CO2 neither of which are branded and come from Asia. I have seen references to other brands in the forum, JBL etc but looks like these are discontinued probably because they are not...
I suppose the specific question I am trying to answer is, is a drop checker an effective method for checking CO2 when the CO2 is completely dissolved in the water with a external inline reactor?
As I understand, the purpose of the inline reactor is twofold.
1. With traditional in-tank bubble...
Maybe. I am thinking that when there are micro bubbles in the water with effective water circulation many of these will make their way into the drop checker and effectively burst at the surface inside the bell and react with the liquid because there is effective gas exchange , however if the...
Hi
I was previously running pressurised CO2 at 1 bps in a 240l through a bazooka style diffuser with a spray along the back of the tank for circulation and my drop checker was consistently a nice shade of green. I got fed up of the micro bubbles clouding the tank so decided to install an...
Hi Simon, thanks for the response.
It is the curve aesthetic I want, more of a wild meadow look then a garden lawn look if you know what I mean. The mini I have curves straight away which I really like and has a soft feel whereas the standard acicularis goes straight up and has a wirey feel...
Hi, first post so you please be gentle. I have a bad feeling I made a mistake. After weeks of planning for the bank holiday last weekend I planted my first scape. Last thing on list was to order plants to arrive for the weekend. I have a dwarf hairgrass carpet but could only get 3 in vitro so...
