    Fluval Flex 34L

Tanks coming along nicely and easy to maintain at the minute. Added Bacopa Amplexicaulis to the background to try and fill it out a little and also some Danio Tinwini. They're not something I've seen much of before and went to the shop to buy CPD's but when I saw these beauties I was convinced...

    Phone photography

I know it's not technically photography, but can anyone advise settings to use on a phones camera to take good pictures of my tank. I've recently added Danio Tinwini to my tank, but they dont stay still or swim slow enough to take good pictures and all come out blurry. I currently have a galaxy...

    Fluval Flex 34L

Can any one advise how to the Helanthium Tenellum? Do I just cut it short like grass, or is there more to it than that?

    Fluval Flex 34L

31 day point, taken yesterday. 4 yellow shrimp and 3 Amanos added. I'm throwing in a stick of Shrimp King complete every other day and all the shrimp go crazy for it!!! Plants seem to be healthy enough and the white fur growing on the wood has all but gone. I did have a period where black...

    Fluval Flex 34L

Hi, still not had much advice in the way of the MC..... . Also think that BBA is breaking out in the tank. Hoping if it is, I've caught it early enough to save it, but need advice what to do. I thought it was just the same fur that appears of newly waterlogged wood but now not so sure.

Thanks Mort, I was hoping the liquid carbon dosing would be enough for it but maybe not.

    Fluval Flex 34L

Hi everyone. As I wrote on my introduction post I acquired a fluval flex 34l tank after my wifes adopted gold fish suddenly died. Over the Xmas period I managed to gather all the items needed to turn it into a planted tank and re-discover the hobby I left 6 years ago. I work away a lot and my...

    Beginners First Tank

Hi, hows the tank looking now? I have the same one and just putting together details to write a journal thread of my own. I'm also struggling with the Monte Carlo in my tank, makes me wonder if the standard tank lights arent strong enough for it?

    Basingstoke/Reading area

Thanks Harry, I just looked them up and it triggered the memory that I've actually been to the MA you suggested, albeit a longtime ago. Remeber it being at a garden centre and having a huge car boot sale out the front, but we'd forgot it had the MA there too. Crowders looks a great shop too and...

    Basingstoke/Reading area

Hi guys, Recently back in the hobby, can anyone in the same area recommend the best shops to visit locally. I'm currently near Hook and the biggest places close are Basingstoke/Reading. Just seen Aquajardin in Southampton is about 40 minutes away so will visit there soon but wondering if...

    A little low tech jungle

Beautiful tank, very vibrant and lush. And thanks for the in-depth description too as it's a similar size to what I'm putting together. Did you dose these levels of Colombo Floragrow and fertiliser from day 1? And what level of water changes were you carrying out?

    Hello from Hampshire

Hello everyone, Recently returned to the hobby by chance after leaving it in 2014 when I moved abroad and had to sell all of my equipment. We recently moved back, but I still work away every now and again and whilst on my last trip the wife 'rescued' an unwanted goldfish from a local site and...
