    Thanks for the help, I'll check my local hardware store for cable ties as they are clearly very cheap and easy to cut off :) I think I'll also look for a special foam to check for gas leaks, I know soapy water can be used but I'll probably get it if it's cheap. Anybody used them?

    it was sold as a tiny bulb of nymphaea rubra. It grew into about a 10cm high plant in about 4 months as it was in a low tech tank. It grew a lot faster in this tank. then when i left the people overdosed co2 by a lot and it grew really fast!

    IMO blyxa looks best around rocks or wood. In that space where the echinodorus tenellus is elecocharis would proabably be more suited. :D The main annoying thing about blyxa is that it floats too much but its leaves are ok
