    First Planted Discus Tank

Very nice. I like the sandy area at the front of the tank as it makes it easy for uneaten food to be seen and removed. Spawning is always a sign that discus are happy and well kept - well done

    Anita's Trigon 190

My thoughts exactly  and this is where so many people go wrong and it ends in disaster. Tbh the wild is fine on his own, he is showing great colour and is having the lions share of food at feeding time! Thank you for your comments Tunafish, most appreciated :D

    Anita's Trigon 190

Thank you sanj, indeed Nick16 does not know the circumstances, tbh I wasn't going to answer the post until you posted. Thanks guys for the nice comments about the tank  Actually Nick16 discus do much better when you keep at least 5, that's juvenile fish who tend to show a bit more...

    RENA XP3 Leak

Sounds like you topping it up with too much water. It will pour out of the side vents if over full. Fill the bottom part with water up to a good inch from the top, connect the tubes and try to press down the thing in the middle. If it doesn't go down easily you need to take the tubes off and...

Adding CO2 to a Tank with a pH of 6

I also have a pH of around 6ish, my kH out of the tap is 0. I also have pressurized CO2. I've kept discus for years and always used a little coral gravel in one of the filters. I like it because it's slow working, wait a couple of weeks and if you see the pH going a bit high reduce the amount of...
