    non-`copper'ed Trace product?

Just bought some Seachem Trace and discovered it has some copper sulphate thus rendering it sus for my shrimpy tanks. I notice that in a previous thread (March`08) someone mentioned that Tropica+ was possible with shrimp even though it also has some copper in it. Just wonder if anyone has any...

JBL bubble counter(s?) and tube size?

Thanks. That'll probably work for the tube to peg connection. But the lock rings just aren't big enough as is. I will probably ignore them or ream/widen them. It just seems a bit strange that the size def. seems a bit small for standard tubing. I tried silicon airline tubing and it was just as...

JBL bubble counter(s?) and tube size?

Could be that the brand of CO2 tubing (German: Lunapets/eBay) I have simply isn't flexible enough to fit. I can really force them on but there's no way the JBL locking rings on the little outlet pegs can be used to any intended effect.

JBL bubble counter(s?) and tube size?

I purchased a JBL bubble counter off the shelf at a shop a while ago (not my LFS) and when setting up my newest tank, was surprised to find that it did not seem to fit standard airline sized 4/6mm CO2 tubing. So its basically useless for me. Looking at the AquaEssentials page for this item...

Welcome :) Tell us about yourself

Hi , I'm Niels.. Happy to find this forum! After trips to Germany and seeing how heavily plants are promoted there (albiet in the Old School way) it has always struck me how different it is here in the UK with little emphasis on plants so far. (though things seem to be changing. My LFS is the...

    Lunapet CO2 regulator question

Hmmm I think I will try a search. There may be some Euro supplier out there...... You are right of course. Upon reflection the squeezy trigger of the FE is more user friendly than the somewhat quirky dial on the Lunapet `refillable' which I found had a bit of a pop-up action on it as you...

    Lunapet CO2 regulator question

Thanks. By the time I realized there was a leak.... the gas was all gone. Unfort. that was in the supplied 500g of German CO2 in the Lunapet `refillable' container. I am not keen on DIYing a FE... looks a bit scary  but if I can figure on getting a reasonable replacement of...

    Lunapet CO2 regulator question

I bought a Lunapet/eBay CO2 set that came with the regulator below (if the image doesn't appear the link below should get you to it). This CO2 set seems to be popular with people on this forum! But when used on my small 40l it seems to have vented off all the gas very quickly indeed i.e. within...
