    By dead space i meant that the space behind is a little useless, personally i would prefer the hard scape further back with some room for some plants behind and then a nice carpet in the fore ground, using all the space behind for planting taler plants would dominate the scape.

    I would really recommend the smallest ehiem classic filter, cant remember the name, they can be had cheap second hand, will run forever and do a healthy 400lph :) You could get lucky and find one of the old thermofilters aswell :)

    The Wattage given on the heater just tells you how fast it will heat the aquarium :) So yes it will work just fine :)

    Thanks,il look into the mosses, i have grown riccia before (long time) with no ferts and medium light. But it was realy slow :( Yeah was horrific to wake up to a lifeless tank, sword tails would be a nice option to have in there :D
