'el naturel' method documented in early 20th Century

Can you imagine how long that would take, one handful at a time for a large tank? I got bored doing 1/4 of a bucket at a time for a 200litre LOL

Manzanita wood - now in the UK

I know, I don't mean to sound picky but we were all asked what we were looking for from it. With only 55 bits and 21 people for it to go around, should there not be some sort of limit or at least limited to what they wanted? Or is it just basically last of the list get last picks? Nevermind, if...

Manzanita wood - now in the UK

Just noticed this. I'm still in for a few small gnarly/branchy bits. I've got a big tank, but I just really need some to "finish it off" :) So hard to find branchy bits of wood for a decent price, I'm just after paying £16.50 for a tiny bit! And thanks so much for doing this!

Manzanita wood shipment to the UK: where to ship it to

I'd love some if it's still not been done yet. I'm in Scotland though, so would need to have it couriered here from whoever is getting the job lot. I'm not looking for anything huge or big at all, just small gnarly/branchy bits!

Oops, sorry! Excuse the bad photo, I still can't get used to the new camera - lighting is all wrong. As you can see, it just looks thrown together even though I spend AGES on it  The way it was before I did this, the fish all had hiding spots and things but now as you can see everything is...

    Help?

I've managed to get a lovely collection of plants, and have some gorgeous bits of normal driftwood, and a stunning piece of sumatra wood as well. But, I just can't get a good looking scape to work. I had a bit of a play about last night, and used two thick bits of driftwood to "entwine" with...

    Trimming Plants

What I did was: remove the HC from its pot and cut it into 4 pieces Inc the rock wool and plant approx. 2" apart. Stem cutting - well I am still learning and I was considering trying your method - never had the guts to try it, what the hell, if its wrong the plant will only die. Thanks for the...

    Trimming Plants

After looking at the tutorials, learned how to trim the stem plants vertically. But for the ones growing new bits OUT the way, is it just the same - just pull/snip off the new bits and replant? Some of them are getting really messy with the bits coming out horizontally  And I bought HC...
