Cheers for the link, had already read through that and got some good info. The drop checker i got only came with one bottle, labellled CO2 test solution, and the instructions say to add x number of drops, add tank water to it. Do i still need 4dkh solution? or is there another way to use it...

Hmm, having problems finding suitable brackets. All the standard hardware stores had nothing like it, and everyone Ive asked about getting some custom made has either been rediculously expensive, or cant make the tank mountings (feet). Where did you get yours from? Did you make it yourself? Cheers

Probably going to be a tetratec ex700 or a fluval 305/405, but depends what comes up- gonna have to buy second hand as I'm on a pretty tight budget. No idea about powerheads though, havnt had any experience with them.

Both the T5 and T8 ballasts are Arcadia ultraseals, and so come with waterproof caps so thats not a problem.

Hanging from the ceiling isnt really an option, and neither is attaching it to the wall (too weak). So i think something that sits on the tank itself would be best. Cheers

Cheers for the advice guys, that certainly makes choosing things a lot easier. Currently only have internal filters, but an external is pretty high up on the "to buy" list so will prob end up switching to an external reactor then.

Hey all, trying to get myself a cheap glass/ceramic diffuser for a pressurized system on a 120l tank. So far I've heard the rhinox types are the pick for budget diffusers, but i can only find the 1000 models. Would this work, or should I try and find a bigger one? Any other budget suggestions...
