Just looked at mine again and yes there are tiny little hairs on them. I think they stood out more before because they had tons of stuff stuck in them.

Hey, The frogbit has been thriving in my tank since I added it and 3 times now have had to chuck loads. My frogbit had hairs on the roots until I added Siamese Algae Eaters and that's one of the first things they cleaned so I'm assuming its algae as there's no hairs on the roots nowadays.

I have 5 Clown loaches with my Apple snails and all has been fine since I added the snails around a month ago. I think it depends how big your snails are, as my snails are pretty big. I'm actually hoping the clown loaches eat any snail babies so I can control the snail population easily.

I was saying overhang of the foam to make sure none of the sides were suspeneded. Not overhang of the glass as like you say will stress the joints.

Wow Love your tank everything looks so healthy!! My loaches are only babies and the snails you supplied are massive just what I wanted and almost the same size as the loaches lol. So far the loaches havent even really noticed the snails and think there to dumb to know there a food source...

From what I've been reading people surgest a slight over hang not underhang to make sure the sides arn't suspended and the weight supported.

Been reading and it seems some people have apple snails living with young clown loaches fine so going to give that a try! Whats the worst that can happen :twisted:

My Angels seem to spend hours talking to themselfs against the glass lol. I find it a good thing as it gets them on show. At a guess I would say the lighter the room the less reflective it is for them. Put a lamp near the outside of the tank?

Can you not just use the stuff that goes under laminate flooring? Its dirt cheap to!

Wanted to try grow some Frogbit but my T5s/T8s are mounted directly on the tank about 3 inchs from the water. Would this just burn the frogbit?
