    Drool!! One can but dream

Tanks that size are common enough in the marine world I once got one for free. Took 4 of us a bloody long time to get it in the van. lol It sat in my mate's garage until i decided i couldn't afford a house big enough to house it :D Flogged it for about 20 quid on ebay He's having a serious laugh...

Need a bit of dosing advice

Thanks ceejay Just checking the solubility link now. I did keep the trace mixed separately, so that wasn't an issue Having read through the algae threads here, i need to look at a better way of adding co2. A 6 foot tank makes it awkward to get a good circulation. I also need to get a proper...

Need a bit of dosing advice

Hi I set up a large hi tech tank over a year ago. I've managed to neglect it and stopped dosing too  ...yes, i'm an idiot. I'm pretty sure i never had set up right in the first place, so i'll list everything here and you can hopefully tell me what i'm doing wrong. Tank is 72x18x21...

    A reefer take on aquascaping

aquascaping is vital in a reef tank. You need a good flow aorund the live rock to maximise it's benefits. The more surface area available the better. CO2 & Rummynose

I have a small shoal of 60 odd rummy nose in my 6ft tank It's pretty heavily planted and well lit, but they shoal around the centre of the tank, mid level all day. Always out and about in the most open and well lit part of the tank. They only hide in the plants, lower down, when the lights go out

Clean marine tank for planted use

That should be fine. Marine tanks have nothing added, chemical wise, as the stock is so sensitive. Going the other way is a huge problem! A quick general scrub and rinse will be fine

Where to get CO2 Cannisters and Refills

Just been into maidenhead aquatics shepperton (nutty lane) They carry 500g and 2kg refills. £18 and £34 respectively They can do other sizes but will need to send them off, so there's a turnaround time.

    Which diffuser?

Had a flick around and the AM reactor 1000 looks good. I've seen a couple of tanks on here using it.

    Which diffuser?

Thanks for the reply. I've had a look around the sponsers on here and found these two. reactor http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.p ... ts_id=3855 Inline diffuser http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/index.p ... ts_id=1370 I'm guessing the reactor would be best, as the inline is only for 55g...

    Which diffuser?

Hi Just set up a new tank. It's a 6x1.5x2 ish I have the JBL spiral diffuser, which, from reading on here, isn't very good. I've tried various searches on here, but i'm getting a bit confused as to what is good. Any recommendations?
