Thanks for the reply, they don't seem like a bad idea to me!I still think it will look a damn sight better than a hood on a standard aquarium.I might have to get 1 lol :D
Would this ballast be any good for lighting a 24 inch Optiwhite aquarium, it's just they look okay and are alot cheaper than Arcadia's similar type of lighting.http://www.aquatics-online.co.uk/catalo ... system.asp
I really like the look of sand and want to use it on my next aquarium.Problem is i also like plants such as cryptocoryne and they are deep rooted. Is there any nutrient substrates that can be capped with sand and not gravel??
I was thinking of buying some Boraras Brigittae for a 35l aquarium. How many is a good number for that size?Is it a possibility they would breed( I could move the fry to another tank)? Thanks! :D
I was just wondering if my aquarium is overstocked;it's a 125l fluval roma aquarium.
It currently has:
3 Guppies
10 Cardinals
1 Bolivian Ram
2 German Blue Rams
1 Chocolate Gourami
3 Corydoras
1 Bristlenose
Is this too much??
Thanks :)
I can't seem to find this filter anywere, does anyone no were i can get it or something similar since it's going to be used on a very small tank (12L) :?
I want to build a tank similar to this one seen here:
http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/p ... cle_id=697
I was wondering if the tank comes without the black rim top and bottom or if it has to be removed somehow?
I think i will change to t6's although i would like to know the color temp of the plant gro ones,I won't use the daylight one since it 11,000K!Does anyone know what the plant gro bulbs are like?
I always assumed i would need more.It only works out at 1.5 wpg i thought this was considered low...Everything seems to survive rather than flourish!I do fertilise and i am going to try liquid co2,does anyone else have an opinion id like to try some so called harder plants but im not really...
I have a Fluval Roma 125l it currently has 2 20w t8 bulbs on it.I have a few really easy plants already.I fancy adding a bit of extra light...without breaking the bank!Just an extra tube would be fine but im unsure as to how they would be fitted/attached under the hood(even though there is...
I'm having second thoughts now since id like to have ago at using DIY co2 ive only ever used liquid carbon before. And with 18w of light i thought is maybe over kill and asking for problems.Would 11w be enough to grow HC and similar?I know the WPG goes out the window but it is still 3.6 WPG! :eh:
Sorry about the colour haha :D!Unfortunately can't find the superfish 1....Ive used the arc pods before and quite liked them.Although this time i wanted just the one light if possible. Is the wave solaris 18w no good??
I want to set up an aquarium similar to the 1 created by george farmer in his nano nurturing article.I plan to use a wave solaris 18w tropical light.Does anyone know the dimensions because i can't find them anywere, i don't know if it's too long  !If so would this be an appropriate light...
