    I was going thru a 2kg FE once a month which was a bit disconcerting when everyone else seem to be saying a 2kg would last them months. When I connected by last FE which was a 5kg I wrapped the threads with PTFE and it lasted 8 months.

    I had this problem last week and put it down to contamination. Make sure you rinse you dc out properly and any thing that you use to fill it i.e. pipette or syringe. I think I used my syringe for measuring some dechlor solution. Have labelled now so I know which one is for the 4dkh solution
