Ok as you may or may not know, I haved saved up some cash for tank number 1 of 3 which is going to be more than likely a sakura or pfr tank. I was going for an ADA 60P to keep water quality easier to maintain, but I'm drawn to going with a mini garden either a M or an L and maybe in the future...

I'm a little concerned which substrate to use for RCS, namely Sakura or painted fire red but I assume all types of RCS are the same. Ideally I wanted to use ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia, I'm told this this buffers the water PH down and I read that RCS like a higher PH level.

Thanks for the info, interesting read. One more small question, how easy is it to remove the laid eggs from a glass surface? Are they well stuck down? Can you wipe them off with a cloth or would it need something like a razorblade to remove them?

Thanks for the heads up Whitey89, btw what product do you treat your water change water (RO or Tap or RO/Tap mix) for your shrimp tank. I used to use a regular water conditioner from my lfs for my betta tank water changes last year but I'm assuming you use different products for shrimp water...

Ok got my 60mb upgrade and a new modem (free from virgin) to go with it and I must say (so far) its lighting fast and no problems with speed during peak time! Let's see how long that lasts for :lol:
