cheers for the observation Colin. I did notice the lights don't come wih a power source but i can get these through work contacts with no issuses, i'm still leaning towards TMC stuff, i think they have the package just right over any others out there at the moment... Andy

can anyone help me with regards to dimming two grobeam tiles- i.e how many controllers do i need? when i look on the web some shops say that one controller only does half a tile?.... just want to dim not interested in the storm (epileptic fish) :?: function :shock:

bugger, breeding tank then?!!... i love the coloring of galaxy rasboras so detailed,the ones at my lfs have very weak colour the orange bits are translucent and they are very pricey too.... thats why i went for the rasbora

hi juz wanted to say that i used the tesco clay stuff and it really works i can't believe it, i capped it with gravel and put shrimps in after one week (using a dirty filter from another tank) with no chemistry probs at all not bad for £3 or £4 mental! great advise on here thanks Andy

hello, when i planted my tank i bought 10 pots of Hc which after a few days it all went sort of Grey, i thought it was a fooked then it grew new leaves and is doing great now, lovely carpet with tight compact dark green leaves etc ...i felt i needed a couple more pots the other day so i went...

hi all, i have a question: if you were not too worried about the look could i use this metal halide security light for my 60L planted tank, I'm only going to be using it for a few months so i don't wanna spend lots of cash i was thinking about mounting it on the wall above the tank...

Thanks for the info sam, i'm a bit worried about the safety issues with using FE tanks even more so after reading that thread....however the price of that FE tank is cheaper that the quote i got today from wholesale aquatics for a 2k refill....where do you get fefills cheap in north london...

i'm still looking into the refilling part at the moment, i'm in hertfordshire if anyone can help?. i've emailed local FE suppliers and have recieved no news yet, looks like mr fizz would be the closest for me as maidenhead aquatics prices are nuts!... :crazy:
