    Aquarium Evaporation & Mold

Hi everyone, I have an open top aquarium which I regularly top up due to the evaporation which is absolutely fine. The issue I am seeing in the room where the tank is located is spots of mold that have collected on some of the walls. These were never present prior to the aquarium being...

    Combining Woods?

Hi All, I just wondered if many of you had produced an aquascape using contrasting pieces of bogwood. Say for example a branchy piece of manzanita alongside normal bogwood etc. I appreciate many woods are different colour tones so it is not always that pleasing on the eye, but I was curious...

    Newbie from mk

For those in MK who don't mind the extra drive to Aylesbury Maidenhead Aquatics it is definitely worth it right now if you're on the hunt for nice wood... I popped in the other day and they have a huge delivery of redmoor, some of the pieces were huge and pretty spectacular. Perfect for a...

    New Scape

Evening, Just wanted your opinion on a large piece of redmoor that I recently purchased and how you feel I might be best to use it for a new scape. It's free standing so I could leave at it is pictured and work around it. It is fairly large for the size of tank but I like that it rises above...

    New 180L tank

    Nature of the wall

    My first "real" scape.

Looking very healthy, I love the contrast in colours. I find the backing a little distracting, have you tried without it now the scape has developed? I could see it with a white backing, something clean and simple to really bring out the colour and textures. Just my opinion though :) Tom
