Thanks for the reassurance fellas, It's only the glosso thats in decline but because there's so much of it in the tank it makes the whole tank look crap :( on the upside though i've got some wicked awesome red Ech tenellus leaves now :lol:

Just wondering how you folks look after your hi-tech tanks if/when you become ill ? I've been quite ill for about the last fortnight and have been unable to do any maintenance,dosing etc... and the tank is starting to suffer (glosso especially). How do you guys manage co I just dont like anyone...

Well this scape is now gone in preparation for the new one, I'm quite glad really as I started to dislike it quite a lot :twisted: . So I went hardscape shopping yesterday and returned with some nice bogwood pieces. Here's a pic of a few of the pieces I bought. All for £11...BARGAIN :D

Thanks for the advice guys :D . I think i've found the leak now :twisted: . There's 4 plastic braces at the top of my tank (1 in each corner) and one of them has been leaking water down the side of the tank that i cannot see directly and then the water has built up on the stand underneath and...

As the title says my tank has developed a slow leak :evil: but It's underneath the tank so I cant do nowt bout it :cry: Would I be wise to A: shut the tank down immediately or B: risk leaving it running until i can get a replacement tank on monday :? What would you do in my position?

A quick update on the tank. Things are going reasonably well apart from I had to remove the P helferi due to it literally melting overnight :? OH and I'm starting to become bored with the simplicity of it so I'm now contemplating either ripping it down and starting from new or just starting...

I'm running about 4.3wpg with co2 at 3-4bps and 2x EI dosing, the tank is 18" deep but where the tenellus is at the back the aquasoil is sloped up to about 6" high. I've noticed that it's mainly new leaves that have this rust colour and then fades with time.

GUTTED!!!!!...I'm not gonna be able to make it down :( . It just happens to be that weekend is the 1 out of the month that I get hit hardest with bills :evil: and the cheapest train fare I've found so far is £53 :shock: . Ahhhh well, never mind aye :cry: :lol:

Another one for option 2 ere'. It's Been running without problems since I bought it, the only noise I hear from the solenoid is when it switches on and off. It was 20 quid cheaper when I bought it as well.

Thanks LD, I'm dosing Excel at 2-3x the recommended dosage everyday at the moment until my diffusers arrive.

Quick update, I've added 5 more pots of E tenellus, 2 pots of Glosso and 2 pots of P helferi that my lfs ordered in for me. All seems to be going quite well, glosso's spreading nicely and no algae YET :lol: . Here's the pics: Excuse the cabomba and the other plant, their mainly for algae...

Will this product be ok to use instead of CO2 injection just for a short period of time, say about a week! I ask because I managed to break both of my diffusers and have no other way of getting CO2 into the tank. I've already ordered 2 cheapo replacements from HK so should get them this time...

Once again I've changed the tank layout AGAIN.....but this time I've used a different type of stone, inspired by Planter's new iwagumi project, I managed to pick up some Dragon stone from my lfs. Here's how it looks now :) I've tried not to copy Planter's layout but it does look somewhat...

Cheers Jay, I think you might be right about those small rocks. I've spent ages just staring at it today and there's definitely something on that side that don't sit right with me. I might try setting them at different angles and see how it looks.

After reading the links that JAmesM kindly posted for me I decided to try and copy one of Amano's layouts with the rocks that I've got. Obviously it's not a carbon copy but I think it's pretty close.
