Viktor, do you think this type of setup would work without CO2 injection, even without liquid carbo? I would like to start a new nano in few months, but with limited space and time I was thinking about a low tech and low maintenance ferns/mosses setup. :wave:

I saw penguin tetras yesterday at LFS, and I'm impressed by the way they swim, together as one. I know they grow quite big but I fell in love immediately

Hi there, After a long period of collecting equipment for my new aquarium, just one day after returning from my summer vacation, I just started my new Iwagumi style aquascape, which I named after Seiryu rocks that I used. This is actually my first "serious" aquascape, since my first aquarium...

Hmmm... so, it seems I won't be so happy with those pipes... when they arrive... :( I've googled for a while before making final decision, and it seemed everyone was satisfied, considering value for money :? At the end I will have to go for ADA pipes because I'm perfectionist :P

Hi there, I just ordered "Power men" lily pipe set from e-bay, and since I have no experience with lily pipes, I wonder if relatively tiny slits on the inflow pipe will allow enough water to flow into the filter? The filter is Eheim 2078 with rated flow of 1800 l/h, and it seems like those...

I'm a bit lazy and busy at the moment to do such kind of test, but I will do my best to perform it in few weeks :thumbup:

Hmmm, intersting point... :? But the flow on E 2078 should be better than on F 405, so it's probably because the AM 1000... :) But the most important thing is the fact that you didn't notice any improvements with almost 50% less media... :( So it seems it's better not to remove any media...

Hi guys, I just purchased a filter for my new upcoming 90p tank, and since it was without media I had to buy them separately. Eheim suggests 2l of media for each basket, in the lowest basket "Eheim Mech" and in other 3 "Substrat pro". So, I did it that way, but it seems it might be maybe too...

I have an Eheim pro 3 and 2 day ago happened the same thing when I cleaned a spraybar, and not the tubing. So when I turned my filter on, the dirt from the pipes start coming out. But it seemed like bacteria colonies, not like sometnihg that could cause ammonia spike... Am I wrong?

I work for Sony Ericsson as a Market Development Manager (MDM) here in Croatia. A lots of field work including trainings for the store staff, in store and outdoor promotions, events, POS materials and so on :) I find my job pretty stressful, so I got addicted to this kind of aquatic therapy...

In my opinion, just soak it in a bucket and do daily water changes, and it should remove ammonia after week or two.

Mine has melted totally, so only roots are now left... I have no leaves at all, only helathy roots. Will it recover too? The guy who gave me this plant, used 100% RO water, and mine is regular, hard tap water, so I think that's the reason of the problem...

Thank you Viktor, this sounds optimistic :) The bow in the middle of the tank is around 1,5 mm. Those bubbles are not air bubbles, they are more like deformation in silicone. But now I am a bit worried about the security, because it is still around 160l of water inside :crazy:
