    dosing weekly

I thought the idea of ei was to ensure that there was always an excess of nutrients in the water coulomb? so if i dose the same weekly amount then there should be that excess and wont the plants only use what they need leaving the rest suspended in the water for later?

i have kept both of these in the past and although they do root around a fair bit they dont tend to dig into the substate to much, i never had any problems with them uprooting plants. Dianema urostriatum is also very nice.

My two settled down well after a couple of days, they both feed well and have plenty of colour! I think it may have been the CO2 in the tank as I have had a couple of Angels do the same.

    Hygrophila polysperma Rosanervig

Hi I planted about 10 bunches worth of this plant about 10 days ago and other than the new growth being green rather than red i seems to be growing well. What is the diameter of filters outlet pipe?
  83. M

putting two eheim in the same outlet

  84. M

putting two eheim in the same outlet

Two filters can have there advantages of one single filter. with two filters you can stagger maintenance, cleaning one one week and the other the second week. this means you always have a supply of good bacteria and if you make a mistake in cleaning you will always have a back up. the same goes...
